Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[Because Zuko is now going to...pat him down, basically. He's far too trusting. Maybe he has a wallet or something.]

Okay! [It's like a weird little massage. Is this how he says hello? Aside from the mom map, he does have just a few dollars on him.]

[A few dollars that Zuko will pocket as soon as he locates them.]

How many houses you got left?

[It's lucky for Aang that he isn't carrying most of his earnings from the farm on him at this time. But he turns back to face Zuko with a cheery smile. Was this boy checking him for germs? How kind of him!]

A lot! But I think I'll call it a day after... maybe three or four more! Wanna help?

[twodragons]

Thanks for the offer... but I think I'll pass.

Got, you know, things to take care of.

[Also, even if the kid's an idiot, it's probably best if he skidaddles sooner rather than later.]

Things? Yeah, I understand. Things are important! But we should hang out again sometime! Let me know if you ever need any... family or anything!

...Right. I'll make sure to do that.

Great! My name's Aang by the way.

Okay, cool. Later, Aang.

[Like hell he's giving his back. He has an exit to make.]

Yeah. Cool! ...But, uh... What's about your name?

Not important.

[He's already turning away.]

I'm just some guy on the street.

But... That's not a name! It's not name-y enough! [He tries his best to call after him.]

So make something up if you want!

[lasthairbender]

[He strolls after him, deep in thought.]

Okay! Let's see, you were just patting me a lot. So how about... Patty! That sounds good, don't you think?

[twodragons]

[Zuko turns his head just enough to glare at him over his shoulder.]

Stop following me.

[lasthairbender]

Why? Hey, what if we were brothers and we didn't even know it? And why's your face like that? [It's like part of his 12 year old self never even left. He just keeps following merrily along.]

[twodragons]

We're not and it's none of your business.

Are you even listening to me?

A little! I'm just really curious. Do you think we could be brothers without being related? Bobo's kind of like a brother to me already and we don't share any parents! I think.

We're not brothers of any type. I don't need any siblings.

Really? But having my sister has been really great for me! I'm sure having any sibling would be great for you, too! [Maybe not "any", Aang.]
