Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

[Well crap, she was hoping she had just imagined she had said that out loud. Seeing his reaction and hearing his response brought that crashing down.]

D-did I say that out loud then?! Even if I am, what's another one doing out here?! No one else gives this area the time of day!

[Her own reaction makes his own nervousness shoot up - Yes, he thinks lowly of this place and would rather never be caught dead here, but a rich person in a poor environment? It's not all that safe here. What if someone who's low on money spots them and gets ideas?]

I-I should ask you the same thing! What're you doing out here?! I mean - you were here first! [Was she? ... And what kind of rebuttal is that?!]

I have my reasons for being out here!

[Cloche is, however, going to be smart on not blurting out "My boyfriend is a farmer and I'm waiting for him" even if most of what she's saying isn't really hitting the brain to mouth filter.]

At least I'm more dressed to be out here without bringing too much attention to myself!

[Or, at least she thinks so. She's been trying hard to shed the look of an aristocrat the more she came out here for this exact reason. Too bad her mouth just spouted off without her being able to think otherwise.]

Well - I have my reasons, too!

[He's also smart enough not to blurt out "My brother ran away to live here and I'm trying to bring him back". The last thing he wants to do is to get his brother in trouble for being here.]

And at least I'm not the one who just blurted out my class right here in the middle of Nowheresville!

[... Even though Luke did agree that he was one, and with her pointing out his clothes, he crosses his arms and glances about, hoping that there's no one listening in. Oh, god, what if one of these people tries to take his clothes?]

[Hnng yeah she had done that too. What was worse was that she was kind of a regular face out around here. That was a bad thing.]

You never denied being one either, and it should be fine! You're acting like it's the end of the world to be out here!

Then what about you?! You're acting just the same way as I am here!

[Luke isn't quite a regular face, but he's probably recognizable, seeing how he and Asch look so alike. And as head of Lorelei Inc., a company that's famous for being easier to get into than others? God, if he's seen and recognized here...]

I-- I have no problems being out here, it's a nice change of pace from all of the stuffiness of all the higher-ups. I'd prefer it out here, in fact!

[YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, she'd prefer here to her posh life back around the lake. Crazy? Probably. But people were a lot more honest about things here, instead of denying things.]

[And Luke just stares at her as if she just grew a second head. She prefers it here? This watered down alley? He has no idea how Asch lived here for so long, let alone her!]

Are you serious? But it's so... [He makes a face, but then tilts his head to the side and tries to let it go. He is helping support some people here, after all. He can't look down on them too much.] Ugh... Fine, do whatever you want! It's not like I care!

I'm very serious. I don't see why I shouldn't be. And anyway, if you don't like it here, why even bother being here?
