Luceti Valley - The First Log

Who: Everyone
What: The start of a new experiment... or is it?
When: August 2nd - August 6th
Where: Luceti itself
Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?
Rating: Varies with thread. Please move explicit stuff to appointments post with appropriate warnings.

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[Bulla just buries her face in his shoulder. She'll act mature and face the world head on the next day at school. Right now, though, she's going to let herself be daddy's little girl and find comfort in his arms.]

A few other people knew already, too...because they were caught kissing at the tuxedo shop.

[It does remind her that it could have been worse, though.]

Poor Ty Lee. She caught them in the act. I thought it was weird that she wasn't at the dance with Sasuke until Neji told me what happened later.

[He pulls a face. In public too?] From the sounds of it he has absolutely no tact whatsoever. More reason for me to believe that you're better off. [With those tears? She can be a daddy's girl all she wants right now. He'll let her for the moment.]

[He doesn't care much about the other girl, though he can't imagine what it would be like to walk in on two males kissing each other. He'd rather not think about it, because it quite frankly grosses him out.] Teenagers are nothing but trouble Bulla. I was absolutely certain this Neji would try something, and he certainly did. Next time you'll listen to me.

[Even though he is sort of rubbing it in her face, he makes up for it by hugging her a little tighter. He's a hard man but he does love and care for his daughter.]
fashionably_strong: art by unknown, if this is yours let me know and I'll credit (yeah whatever)

Well, technically Sasuke was the one who tried something and Neji failed to shove him away and tell him to get lost like he should have. It's still cheating anyway, but Sasuke's the jerk who decided that it wasn't enough to wreck his own relationship and go for a single guy. Nooo, he had to find someone in a relationship.

[She is angry and hurt by what Neji did, but that's mediated in part by how well Neji had otherwise treated her in the relationship - he'd been an attentive and polite boyfriend. Sasuke had always been aloof with her friend Ty Lee and never really made a good impression on Bulla beyond her being able to appreciate that he was a capable athlete.]
misterbrief: (Where's Gohan? I know you're not him.)

I don't care how it happened. Don't defend Neji, there's no need. I'll knock his teeth clean out of his head the next time I see him. I don't know this Sausuke but it's certain that's probably better for his health. Neji, on the other hand, isn't so fortunate.

[No one hurts his daughter and gets away with it.]

Please don't. You don't have to, Dad...and even if you really want to hurt him, the Hyuuga family is wealthy enough to afford good lawyers.

[Not to mention, it means people will gossip about this whole fiasco for much longer.]

I'd rather just go back to school, completely ignore him and act like everything is fine. If you beat him up, he'll only get sympathy for it. He'll get no sympathy for being shunned by his ex-girlfriend and all of her friends.
