Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[Ammy's really good at the grabbing food part, it means that any money they snatch can be spent on blankets and other nice things.


Actually, Ammy stares at Zuko. It's hard to read, but maaaaaybe Zuko might glean what she's thinking - try and pull some heists with Korra here to see if three's a crowd or not?]

[precipitous]

So...is that all you do to earn money? [ Because even if Ammy's tricks were nice, it didn't seem like enough to generate a stable flow of income. ]

[No, Ammy. Zuko knows you like this girl, but he isn't up for sharing many more of their trade secrets.

He shakes his head, and it's directed at both of them.]

What's it to you?

[Then Zuko has spoken! She's wary about the impending argument because it'll invite interrogation, then ill wills, and there's no need for more bad blood between Zuko and the other street rats.

So Ammy bumps the back of Korra's legs to get the girl to drop on her back. You're going for a ride, missy!]

[precipitous]

Nothing, I was just -

[ But then Ammy knocks the back of her knees, and Korra goes tumbling onto the dog's back. OH A RIDE? COOL. ]

[Zuko rolls his eyes, but smiles right after. He'll let Ammy have a little bit of fun.]

Hope you aren't too heavy for her!

[astralpouch]

[Wow Zuko is there any wonder your pooch does a lot better with girls than you? But hey, free ride! Ammy starts trotting towards the forest. She knows a few spots with wild fruits!]

[precipitous]

[ WOW RUDE WAS THAT A SLIGHT ABOUT HER WEIGHT oh well. Korra holds on tight, laughing as she rides. ]

[Who needs a girlfriend, really? He has more important things to worry about.

Like right now, chasing after his dog is very important. She's really fast, after all.]

[Don't worry, she's not going too far out of your sight, Zuko! She wants to keep her kid in range most of the time anyway.

TO THE WOODS! It's lovely. Hot, but lovely.]

[precipitous]

[ They're going to the woods? Cool. Korra could use a break from the crowded city streets. She pats Ammy's neck. ]

Good girl!

[Just don't lead her to their campsite. Zuko likes that spot and would rather not have to move again.

He's able to keep up, at least. Running after Ammy is a daily pasttime.]
