Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

Yeah, it's pretty simple once you remember the which way to twirl the waggy end so it's not flopping out.

[Perhaps she should look into giving Rin a few pointers on how to handle ties in future... Better yet, maybe she should ask Eleanor to help out instead, for the sake of him getting a clearer explanation than 'twirling the waggy end'.

Pascal moves out of the way so Rin can fully see himself in the mirror. She steps back so she's still reflected in the mirror before flashing her son a thumbs up.]

Lookin' good! Talk about having a snazzy get-up.

Day 3

Yeah. Yeah, this is great, actually. [And he tugs lightly at the jacket, grinning to himself. He's not sure he knows how his mom afford it, but it really looks great. And you know what-

He turns to hug her as a thanks for it] Thanks, Mom.

[He's got this jacket, he's got his mom helping him out like this, and he even has a date way out of his league He's... really happy, honestly]

Day 3

[Oh man, hugs. Stretching the budget a little to be able to buy everyone some smart clothes for the dance was definitely a good decision, and when the results are like this it only makes her more positive that it was a worthwhile choice. She squeezes her son close and sways back and forth a little in the hug.]

You don't need to thank me for stuff like this. What'd we do if you ended up taking off in your everyday beat-up clothes and you totally blew your date away with how meh you looked?
