Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[Well, it's nice to know that she's made his day. She beams brightly at his enthusiasm, though after a moment it shifts to concern.] I'm sure just the weekend is fine... I don't want you to get into trouble because of me.

[Vash can't help but laugh. Not at her concern, more at himself. He really needs to learn that Fluttershy was probably going to take most everything he said seriously.] Fluttershy, I'm on strike. I don't have to work at all any day. Well, at least not until it ends.

[It's just that he's worried about him, the way she worries about everyone ever.]

Well... alright, but only if you're sure.

One hundred percent sure! I can hardly wait! I wish we were going right now!

[momisgrounded]

[Fluttershy giggles a bit at that.]

Sorry... I wish we could go now, too! But someone has to be here for the children.

Oh well, I guess that just gives us something to look forward to this weekend doesn't it? I'm happy to wait as long as I have to for some alone time with my Fluttershy!

[Okay, so the zoo isn't exactly alone and they are kinda alone right now, shut up! He's TRYING to be romantic and sweet!]

[Gosh, he really is into this. Relationships are such a new thing for her, but she can't help but feel a little thrill. It's lovely to have adult company, especially someone who apparently enjoys being with her so much.]

I'll try not to keep you waiting for too long, then.

[Vash smiles and places his hand on top of hers, just wanting to hold it a little.] I know you won't. You're too kind to leave anyone waiting too long.

[She flushes at that, hesitating just a moment before turning her hand beneath his to hold it in return.]

Thank you... that's very sweet.

[Vash in turns squeezes her hand softly. A thanks for returning the gesture.] I've learned from the best how to be sweet! And I've only known her a little while!

Oh... flatterer. [Is he trying to get her to blush herself to death?] I don't think that's true at all. You have an inherent kindness that's all your own.

[Yes he is.] Hahahaha! You think so? Well, if I do it was only brought out thanks to you! [Although he's doing his own fair share of blushing right now as he brings up that hand to kiss the back of it.] So for that I'd better thank you by making sure all your dishes are sparking clean!

[Well, he's certainly succeeding quickly with it. The kiss just about does her in.]

Y-yes! The dishes. Um.

[Right, they came in here to work...]

I'll.... I'll dry them, then! And I'll check each one, so I'm sure you'll impress me...!

[goldenglasses]

You're going to be checking them? [Oh crap. Then he really can't half ass them. Then again, washing dishes with Fluttershy? He's okay with this!]

Yes, ma'am! I'll make it mission number one to leave no spots behind! Starting with our lunch plates! [And as much as he hates to do it, he lets go of her hand in order to start picking up what was left over from their lunch.]

[Fluttershy beams, pleased that she's able to give him the proper incentive to get to work, and fetches a towel to work with him, side by side. She's not really inspecting things too critically, but it's a good excuse to stay close and chat instead of running off to do other chores.

Shy as she is, she does like to be near him.]
