Luceti Valley continued in its own merry little way. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer. A new tax hike had ensured increasing animosity between both groups, despite the protests of the every charitable Lord Mayor. But on the sixth day, something happens and people begin to notice things are unusual. Idle thoughts that if thought about too much is bound to get you a visit to the police station for an hour or so. Or worse, it may just get you committed.

Meanwhile, the asylum continues to gain more and more patients. Those that are trapped there will find escaping difficult, but there may be more to this place than they first assumed...

On the tenth, battle breaks out across Luceti Valley. People begin to exhibit powers and abilities they didn't know they had. The police begin rounding up these people to lock up. If they resist, its bound to come to blows. Even though no one has regained their memories of their true self yet, it becomes apparent that some trickery is afoot, even if they might not know the source or why.

Note: This is the second log! There will be a third and final event log for the aftermath. There will also be two separate logs specifically for finding John and defeating Zompano. For those of you that signed up, we'll be randomizing the results and replying to the selected characters later tonight. In the meantime, keep enjoying the event! Over the taxes... yes, it's understandable.

[He isn't exactly thrilled himself. His family is angrier still.]

[... Hm. He just sort of shrugs]

[He doesn't expect much sympathy from someone in the upper class, and it doesn't anger him.]

Yes, it does. [Just the truth of it.]

What about you? What do you spend your days doing?

Mm mm hanging around. I've got stuff going on, plenty of stuff. [Which he can't seem to connect right now Because he seems to have some other ideas than what he usually does]

I see.

[That doesn't tell him much of anything, but he isn't going to press things with the man being in the state he's in.]

I suppose that should have been apparent.

It's true, it's true! I'm a man of the world, going out making a stir wheeereever I go to!

[And at this he twirls, planning to skip up onto a nearby bench as part of a habit he didn't know he had, but in his current state he instead over-balances mid-twirl, almost falls, and catches himself before he does]

[Itachi doesn't see the maneuver, but hears the stumble.]

Careful.

Much of a troublemaker, are you?

Most definitely. I paint the town red.. or maybe even yellow? Normally.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to tell either way.

[Spoken dryly, but in all seriousness.]

[That is the best joke he has heard all day. And because of that, he is bursting out laughing]

[He'd consider it a good thing that he'd amused this man, except Itachi is fairly sure that many things would amuse him about now.]

Are we far from where you live?

Far...? Far. Other side of the town, right? Out by the lake.

[So we really ought to get on a bus or car or something. Probably. Now that he's thinking at all that far]

[Itachi stops, tilts his head in the man's general direction.]

...That far?

Mmmmhm. That's right.

And you planned on walking?

[Hopefully he doesn't have a car he'd intended on driving in this state.]

I... didn't think ... that far.

I assume you walked here to begin with?

I ... I think so.

[He's not sure he remembers now, actually.]

...Hm.

[Well if he did have a vehicle, it would be for the best if he just came back for it when he was sober.]

Do you know the location of the nearest bus stop?

No? Do I ? ... Yeee-- no. No I don't.

[He does sound genuinely confused by that but he ultimately concludes that no, no he does not]

Then I highly suggest you keep your eyes peeled for one.

[Because he can't.]

Yes, sir! I'll be doing that!

[BADLy]

Do note that if I believe we'll be walking in circles for a time, I will consider dropping you off at a police station for a ride instead.

Aren't you more at risk, there?

[He says this as he tilts his head, considering things. Here]

Why would I be? [Itachi frowns.] I haven't broken the law, and you...

[Something about what he's said feels wrong, and he has a moment where he feels entirely criminal and Masaomi's comment makes complete sense. He does have a page in the Bingo book after all...

The moment passes and he's left with the uncomfortable pause.]

...and you aren't driving or being disorderly, so it would be responsible of us to get a ride from them.
