Luceti Valley continued in its own merry little way. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer. A new tax hike had ensured increasing animosity between both groups, despite the protests of the every charitable Lord Mayor. But on the sixth day, something happens and people begin to notice things are unusual. Idle thoughts that if thought about too much is bound to get you a visit to the police station for an hour or so. Or worse, it may just get you committed.

Meanwhile, the asylum continues to gain more and more patients. Those that are trapped there will find escaping difficult, but there may be more to this place than they first assumed...

On the tenth, battle breaks out across Luceti Valley. People begin to exhibit powers and abilities they didn't know they had. The police begin rounding up these people to lock up. If they resist, its bound to come to blows. Even though no one has regained their memories of their true self yet, it becomes apparent that some trickery is afoot, even if they might not know the source or why.

Note: This is the second log! There will be a third and final event log for the aftermath. There will also be two separate logs specifically for finding John and defeating Zompano. For those of you that signed up, we'll be randomizing the results and replying to the selected characters later tonight. In the meantime, keep enjoying the event! In that case, we can actually walk to the hospital instead of getting someone to carry you. Regardless of why you seem mostly okay, we should get you checked out if we can.

Do you think you can walk?

Yeah, I... I think I can walk.

[Though whether they'll make it that far or not it anyone's guess. Even knowing that she should go to the hospital, something in the back of her mind is making her wonder if that's really such a good idea...]

[ It's probably a terrible idea, but she was the one freaking out about it, so Joshua's indulging her. ]

Alright. Let me know if anything changes or there's anything new that seems strange.

[ And he'll see what he can do.

In the meantime, setting off for the hospital? ]

[Setting off, yes! Though they won't get too far. After about a block, it becomes clear that something is very off about the streets right now. It takes a few minutes of walking for it to really sink in though:]

...h-hey. It's the middle of the day, right? Where are all the people?

[Inexplicably the streets are empty, save for a lone police car sitting at the next corner, almost as though it was waiting for them.]

They've been gone at least since I started glowing.

[ It hadn't bothered him at the time, since running from the giant glowing light would be a reasonable reaction. But no one had been poking heads out to investigate since then. ]

Do you like the look of that? [ He gives a small nod towards the car. ]

Not particularly. The cops have been acting weird all week. And I've never been a fan of them to begin with...

[Oh, now they're getting out of the car.]

[And one just took out his police baton.]

[They don't look happy.]

...maaaybe we should turn around.

Probably. [ Of course, he's taking another step forward to make sure he's closer to them than she is before he turns, though he keeps a good look over his shoulder. ] Try not to get between me and them. Just in case.
