The first step is the one you believe in

Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married ~~finally~~ ~~officially~~ finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

I'm sure your moves are the most impressive, Sam, it's mine I'm worried about and you told me to try, so we're trying. This is not the sort of music I can try this solo on. You're not going to abandon me now, are you?

[He tries for a sad look. That's usually fairly deadly manipulation when wielded by females.]

[It's certainly effective when wielded against Sam who is easily manipulated and fairly dedicated to not abandoning his runners. Even when there's a lost cause.]

Fine. I suppose I can be persuaded to help you out. At least Janine isn't here to criticise.

Probably a little of both. [Simon couldn't help but snort at that, a very unladylike sound, but he didn't currently care.] Jody, on the other hand, would have a field day.

[He wavered for a moment, because he had no idea where to put his hands or how this was supposed to go. Although at least he was a little closer to Sam's height now as a female. He was missing a few inches in too many ways at the moment.]

Like this, right? [He didn't sound at all certain as he settled his hands on Sam's shoulders.]

Jody would definitely find it hilarious.

[And now there's the ever awkward part of figuring when to put your hands and Sam is left resting his hands on Simon's very very curvy hips and... god, there's a sentence he'd never imagine thinking.]

Well at least then I wouldn't have any trouble coercing someone for an experimental tumble. Looks like it'll have to be you, Sammy. What're you doing after this? [Simon asks him with a knowing smirk. And possibly a teasing press a little bit closer, since Sam's hands are now on her hips and Simon's arms are around his neck and running away would just look silly.]

You've had your entire body changed and you're wanting to have sex? You are impossible.

[he rolls his eyes at that, but then Simon presses up close to him and his breath catches and Simon is really really curvy.]

You can stop teasing. It's just me. I'll be going to sleep I expect.

How is that impossible? [Simon stares at him incredulously.] Wouldn't you be at all curious? It's completely different down there and girls are always so sensitive and let's not even get started on the multiple orgasm thing. You can't stand there and tell me you wouldn't try it out first chance you got.

And it's not teasing if you let me follow through. [she gives him a grin at that, not missing the way his voice caught and perfectly content to stay pressed up close against him as they tried this dancing thing.]

I'd probably go and hide until it was over, honestly. I really... just, no. I don't want to think about this!

They kept dancing, swaying with the music, and it was really hard to ignore.]

[He let out a huff of breath at that, giving Simon a grimace.]

Proooobably? [Simon drags the word out, making a face as she glances around the room.] Although hell, I wouldn't even know who to approach here. Half the people have hooked up with others and the rest...

[Her expression stated it was a rather dubious prospect. This wasn't like finding a casual hookup at a bar or a club in the city.

Sam's comment gets a snicker and an innuendo-laden wiggle of her eyebrows.] I could try and raise it instead.

It can't hurt to ask people. Go out and flirt. You can flirt. I've seen you do it.

[It didn't seem that difficult a prospect in theory, not that Sam was planning on getting involved.

He rolls his eyes at that, but gives a soft, amused snort.]

You are just... I give up. I don't know what to do with you. This was easier when you had to be nice to stop me sending you towards the zoms. [Not that he ever would and they knew it.]

Yes, but I know you and I can just as easily flirt with you.

[Simon points this out with a bright grin. Just in case Sam had been oblivious to the fact.]

Aww, come on, Sammy. You know you'd miss me if I got eaten. Who would entertain you on the comms all day? Although if you're looking for suggestions about what to do with me, I have several I can give you. Especially at the moment.

But... but it's weird! You could actually... like, do stuff with someone else.

[And they worked together and Simon was really a guy.

He lets out a huff of breath.]

I suppose just running missions with Five would be kind of... quiet after a while.

...I- I don't want to know!

[Yes, he is blushing.]

I could also do stuff with you.

[That blush isn't missed, but Simon relents a little after that, huffing out a quiet laugh, giving him a wry, self-depreciating smile.]

It's fine, Sam. Don't have a heart attack. I won't make you do anything weird.

And yeah, Five's not exactly the most verbose of your Runners.

And your idea of weird and mine is probably pretty different.

[He smiles slightly at the mention of Five.]

Not really. I mean, they're amazing but... but not really talkative.

[Simon feels this should be pointed out, but it's easier to brush it off. Especially when just the mention of Five has Sam grinning like that. Simon huffs out a breath and gives a roll of eyes.]

Careful, Sammy, your crush is showing again.

You just like teasing me.

[He gives Simon a curious look for that reaction, raising an eyebrow, then looks offended.]

I- I do not have a crush on Five! That's ridiculous! I just- I have a healthy respect for their abilities and you have to admit, they have done some pretty awesome stuff.

Well, yes. But that's besides the point.

[Simon gives him a bemused, baffled look, because that's a given and had nothing to do with this one way or another. Although his amusement grows at Sam's flustered protest.]

Of course you do. You get this flustered over all your Runners then.

[He looks back for a moment, and huffs, wrapping his arms around himself.]

I- next time you survive a rocket launcher attack on a helicopter and outrun Van Ark's mind controlled zombies, then I'll get flustered.

What makes you think that? [Simon arches an eyebrow at that, looking entirely skeptical.] Sure, maybe its one reason, but it's hardly the only one.

[That comment drew a slight frown and a roll of his eyes.] Oh is that all? I'll get right on that. At least I don't also have to take down 300 with one blow. Piece of cake.

Well, it is. You flirt with everyone. And I'm a guy. And so are you under normal circumstances.

[And there was no reason for Simon to flirt with him apart from trying to fluster him.]

Although, if you could do that, it would be pretty awesome. And you'd probably get close to Ten's score.

Yes, and? It's not like that matters all that much to me. [Simon shrugged.] Besides. It's different. You're... you.

[He snickers at that.] I still say he cheated. Unfair advantage.

It doesn't? [Huh. He gives Simon a slightly curious look.] Well, yeah. I don't get why that makes a difference.
