Slumber Party~ (Backdated)

Who: Belle, Beast, and whoever wants to come!
What: Slumber Party
When: Friday 13th, in the evening.
Where: House 17
Summary: Belle is throwing a slumber party open to the whole village! it's a totally gender equal thing
Rating: PG? PG-13? R because of Isaac?

Belle has spent most of the day preparing the house for the nightly festivities. She went out and got as much food and snacks and she and Beast could carry (which is a lot). She's also swept through every extra room in the house, laying out extra pillows and blankets where guests are sure to find them. Each room has enough sleeping supplies for about two people, so hopefully people will be bringing their own things as she asked.

As far as party plans go, it's a free-for-all. If anyone has any game or activity suggestions then they should come forward with them. After all, this is Belle's first slumber party and she doesn't know all of the traditions just yet. Except for one: pillow fights.

Oh heaven's no! Don't get me wrong, I do love my job as a headmaster. But I think if I had another alternate life I would most definitely be a librarian. Perhaps I am even, there's so many possibilities when it comes to parallel universes.

Hmm, yes, that's always a possibility. It is a bit strange to think there could be countless other versions of ourselves out there somewhere, doing things we could never even imagine.

[And Jack swipes another one of the cookies to munch on thoughtfully.]

If you could do anything you wanted in another universe, would it be being a librarian? Or would it be something else?
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

Oh I do know there are. I-I've met one, actually. Another me. He wasn't...as ah modest as myself. [ His mirror self was anything but. But Helios will not linger on that thought as he taps his chin thoughtfully. ]

Hm. I'm not sure. A librarian could be fun, especially if the books were magical in ways. But perhaps an adventurer too, you know the ones that search and hunt for rare artifact. I-I wouldn't do it for money or anything like that but mainly just for the experience. I do love to travel and artifacts and the people they herald from are always so interesting to learn about.
of_sablier: (So then we'll use those water balloons..)

What about an adventurer who was also a librarian who kept records of his finds? That way you wouldn't have to choose between the two. A perfect solution, if I do say so myself!

Ah! That sounds like a wonderful job! I certainly wouldn't mind doing something like that. And what about you? Any special dream job, hm?

Ah, well... I was a music box maker back in my world, and I enjoyed that a great deal. But if I could do anything I wanted... perhaps being a traveling musician might be fun. Just going everywhere, seeing the world... doesn't it sound romantic?
folklorist: (Yes I do agree with that)

[personal profile] folklorist 2013-10-15 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It certainly does. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Meeting people from different cultures and learning about them and their customs is one thing I make sure to do when I go anywhere new. [ He smiles. ]

I suspect as a traveling musician you would get to learn and try all sorts of instruments. That sounds rather fun as well, even if I'm terrible at playing any instrument of any kind.
of_sablier: (Whoops busted)

Different cultures, different places, different food... it would be like a non-stop adventure. And the best part would be that you could set your own course and stay for however long you liked. When you think about it that way, it really does sound like the ideal job, doesn't it?
