Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

I don't think they'd be in operation if they weren't safe. They have restraints and seat belts and all that. We have more chance of dying if the reactor in the Enterprise blows.

[The line isn't took long, and before you know it, there being allowed to take their seats....


...Spock hesitates before he gets into the car.]

_{[Which someone beside him, Kirk showed no hesitation in getting into the car and happily settling himself, clicking the bar into place and condescendingly pats Spock's own safety bar. ]}

Now now, don't worry. People usually only die from heart attacks on these things.

[Spock doesn't look impressed.
Not helpful at all, Captain.

The Vulcan didn't have enough time to complain as the ride started, the machine lurching forward as the rollercoaster climbed up to the peak.]

_{[ It wasn't meant to be helpful. Sweet of you to think he was trying to be though.}

His grin widened as the coaster started up and he patted his bar rhythmically in excitement, timed to the clacking of the wheels on the rails as they began to climb. ]

Now, when we go down, you have to throw your hands in the air, Spock! It's protocol!

[Spock couldn't help but silently enjoy Jim's enthusiasm, it was practically contagious.... and surprisingly, the Vulcan didn't argue with his Captain's flawed laws.

Instead, he lifted his arms up in the air, his face as bland as ever....

...but his eyes. If you knew what to look for, you could tell that the Vulcan was happy as the coaster flew down the track.]

_{[ He didn't have to look, he could feel, and it only made him grin wider. He whooped as the car rushed down, letting gravity do the work, whipping them around a corner and through several more and then began a climb again, giving people time to catch their breaths. ]}

Whoo! Ready for drop number 2?!

[Did they have a choice to be ready? But, Spock again didn't have time to inform Jim of his incorrect statement... instead he enjoyed the ride....fully.

Once the bars lifted, informing them to get off the ride... Spock looked more than pleased.]

Perhaps we should try one of the larger rides at this time?

_{[ He laughed, clapping his shoulder and he nodded, heading for the exit (and the necessary gift shop, of course). ]}

Sure. Let's go to one of the water ones. 60ft drop like a waterfall!

Yeah, water. We're not in it, it's a car on the water. It's just like the coaster we were on, but with water. Not afraid to get your toes wet, are you? You're not a wicked witch in secret?

Your cultural references are not appreciated Captain.

[That was fancy talk for 'shut-up'.
But, Spock did end up following his Captain regardless.] And I am not afraid... I simply to not enjoy getting cold.

Just because you're wet doesn't mean you get cold. It's a great day out, and you don't really get wet in these things. We'll get in a back seat, okay? You don't get really wet back there.

[The Vulcan gets into another car... in the water.... with his captain. For some reason, he can't stop looking at that tunnel as if it had somehow offended him. He didn't like it... it was...

...it was dark.]

_{[ Kirk looked at him, wondering what was bugging the other. It wasn't like Spock to get so bent out of shape. ]}

Hey, look, it's just like the last ride, just with water, that's all. It's pretty mellow, really, right till the drop, so just relax and enjoy it.

[spohkh]

[Spock does his best to now show fear, but his eyes are wide as they draw into the tunnel...]

It... It is not the water.
[Swallow]

I do not know what is wrong.

_{[ It was to late to turn back now, wasn't it? They slid into the tunnel, but it wasn't completely dark. Animatronics and soft lights lit the dark space, and it was certainly cooler than outside.}

Kirk reached out, feeling the stress through their bond, taking Spock's hand since no one could see them. ]

It'll be fine. Just breathe, okay? In and out. Concentrate on that.

.........Spock's brain suddenly muted as all he could concentrate on was the fact that his Captain was now holding his hand.
Yup, definitely distracting him from the darkness.



At least this way Jim couldn't see his blush.]

Eh, no problem. Everyone's a bit freaked their first time on a ride, I think. You don't really know what to expect.By the end of this you'll be screaming like the rest of us.

_{[ His mouth quirked, white teeth flashing in the dim. ]}

[Spock blinks...

So Jim didn't get it at all. Oh well, at least he was still here. The Vulcan settled into his seat, trying to concentrate on their hands and not on the darkness around them.

Soon enough though, light could be seen at the end of the tunnel... and oh goody, another drop.]

It's the first one, the baby. Come on, don't worry.

_{[ He nudged him with his elbow, not removing his hand from Spock's as the car clicked and then went over the edge, rolling them down in a whoosh of air and water, splashing and causing waves across the side of the "track", Kirk letting out a small, slightly breathless laugh. ]}

See? Not so bad!

[Spock looked about as happy as a wet cat....

..but he also didn't let go of Jim's hand.]

Oh come on, Spock. It's a theme park, just try and relax and have fun.

_{[ He was well aware the other had not let go of his hand. But, he said nothing on it, and let the other continue to grip his hand, deciding it was best not to address the issue in public, or at all. ]}

[As soon as the ride ended, the Vulcan let go of Jim's hand and stalked out of the car with his last shred of dignity... while also resisting the urge to shake off like a dog. He needed to go dry off somewhere warm...]

_{[ He sighed, though, admitted they had gotten a bit of water on them, and it wouldn't hurt to keep the Vulcan in a good mood.}

So he came up and grabbed his arm, tugging him along towards the bathrooms and pointing at one of the automatic dryers. ]

There, stick whatever's wet under there and have at till you're nice and fluffy.
