Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

I have a good feeling about this. Listen in.

"The race commences with the two favourites Win or Be Glue and The Lone Stallion neck and neck shooting off against the starting line. They are fearsome competitors folks, true powerhouses, Derpy Hoofs is a bit behind in third as they make their way to the halfway line... wait! Whats this?! Its Don't Have A Cow Man protruding from the back, to overtake Derpy Hoofs and is now neck and neck with Win or Be Glue and The Lone Stallion. This is incredible folks, its going to be a photo finish-- I tell you, as we reach near the end gate, Don't Have A Cow Man is a little behind, and whats this? This little devil is putting on more steam then before. And the race is over! But it looks like a three way tie. Lets check the footage folks!"

The screen goes and zooms in with some tension building music.

"And it looks like the unlikely Don't Have A Cow Man has one by a fraction of a second by a nose! What a close race, what a wonderful day for horses!"

[Iroh gives his nephew a half hug as he raises the other arm in the air]

You see! I told you.

[Zuko is grinning widely, astonished.]

That was amazing, uncle! How did you know?

[He hadn't really just guessed and hoped for the best, had he? He had to have known something about the horses beforehand, surely...]

Well, when the odds are split between two favorites its best to go for the long shot. The potential winnings will be far higher. Its not a guarantee of course, but if you bet just a little in such cases, you have a lot to gain, and a small amount to lose.

[He gives his beard a stroke]

Besides which, most of this races are rigged, and the house stands to gain a lot of money by allowing a non-favorite to win.

I don't know if I could ever be good at gambling.

[He just shakes his head, still smiling.]

But maybe I should try learning anyway. It sounds like something a Fire Lord should know.

[Of course, the real question was 'What shouldn't a Fire Lord know?']

Well, it certainly is one way to approach diplomacy.

Probably not the method I want to take, though. I like a little more certainty.

Well, at the very least, I know many admirals and generals who enjoy gambling. So it is a good way to strengthen some bonds. I also know their tells pretty well.
