Divine. [ Ororo smiles almost lazily. It's clear that she's enjoying herself immensely. ] See if you can't ask for the Thai massage. It's well-worth the visit.

I'll do that. [It's an easy agreement to give as Natasha makes herself comfortable and lets the masseuse do the rest of the work. Her head pillowed on her arms, she turns to give Ororo a bemused look.]

So. How have things been in your end of the village? It's been a while since we've caught up. Things alright in the X-house?

[ It's been a while because Ororo had been gone a while. She wasn't sure if Natasha had been aware of her kidnapping though, and she still didn't know all the details behind the House of M fiasco... So she doesn't give it much thought. She makes a noncommittal hum at her question. ]

Mmm... Alright enough. Quite crowded, actually. We've had a couple of new additions in the last few weeks.

New feathers? Anyone of note? [Not that Natasha was at all familiar with the other team from - what did they even call it, a parallel universe? - but she was fond of the ones she had gotten to know. Even Logan.

She hasn't been aware of what's been going on, actually. Mostly because between Shifts and the House of M and Clint's departure, she'd had her hands full.]

Two of our students from home, both girls. [ Ororo's voice is rather fond when she speaks, so it should be obvious how she feels about them. But still... ] It's good to have them around, of course, but this place... [ She wouldn't wish this place on anyone. ]

This place has the potential to be both wonderful and terrible and even occasionally manages to be both simultaneously. [Natasha's voice is dry, because she knows, all too well.]

I still wonder how it manages to do that. [ Ororo sighs, but Natasha can probably hear her smile in it. ] You would think that it makes things easier, but it really doesn't.

But enough of that. How are you, Natasha? How are things on your end?

[She pauses to find the right word before answering.]

Unsettled. The recent shifts and everything else have been... an experience, that's for certain. But we're managing. Did you... were you affected by Billy's... [She trails off. She doesn't even know how to refer to it.]

[ Ororo opens her eyes to glance back at Natasha when she trails off like that. ]

Billy's what, Natasha? Is he alright? [ Come to think of it, she hasn't seen much of him, recently. ]

[Natasha huffs out a quiet sigh and closes her eyes as she tries to figure out how to answer that. Especially when she's been keeping her mouth closed about most of it.]

There was... an incident. With him and his magic. Although the details should probably come from him, if you want to know more. Magic is not a field I have a great deal of experience in.

[ Ororo frowns, puzzled. The masseuse standing over her frowns similarly, though for different reasons. Stop stressing her client out, Natasha! ]

Hmm. I cannot claim to know anything about magic, either. I won't ask for details, but is he alright? [ a pause. ] And you, are you alright, my friend?

[Oops?]

That's probably a question better saved for him? Physically, yes, he will be. As for the rest of it... this will be difficult for him to work through. For everyone to work through. There were... a lot of people affected.

[When Ororo turned the question personal, Natasha shot her a crooked smile.] I'm always alright.
