[Alright, he glances at the stuffed horse and then at Ellie and then back at the horse. So he's over six feet tall and built like a tank -- now he can see the issue when he sees how small she is in comparison to the toy.]

You could try holding it first.

[He is seriously considering sprinting off as soon as she's holding it because he does not want to walk around all day with it.]

What? You're gonna make a little kid carry that big thing?

[She's discovered that people actually treat her like a kid here- and not in a bad way. Like hell she's not taking advantage of that.]

[He squints a little and considers her question. Of course he's going to make her carry it. If she wants it, she's got to carry it. It's not like he's going to drop it off at her villa or something. That would defeat the purpose of getting rid of it so he didn't have to be seen with it all day.]

The thought had crossed my mind, yeah.

Why're you so eager to get rid of it, anyway? Didn't you get to pick your own prize? Is it broken or something, that's why you don't want it?

[Generally, to her, it wouldn't matter - before coming to Luceti she'd never seen a clean, unbroken toy in her life. But it's the principle of the matter.]

[That's a whole lot of questions all at once. Shepard just quirks an eyebrow and looks at her before pointing at the stuffed horse with his free hand.]

Do I look like the type that decorates my room with these things?

You could be. There's all kinds of people in the world.

[Who wouldn't want a room full of cute things?]

Anybody ever tell you that you're really difficult to deal with?

I have no use for it, I have no place for it, and I just don't want it. You're the first kid I've seen, so you get first crack at it.

Not that she thinks he will, but he seems easily riled, and sassing is fun.]

I don't know, maybe? I've never had a stuffed animal before.

If you've never had one, then you wouldn't be able to take care of him. Maybe I should find someone else.

I don't have the time to take care of it, but it's not like I want it to go to just any home.
