What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!

Where: The Happiest Place on the Moon, Malnosso World!
Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

[ Ororo's only given the place a passing glance, before this. But now that she's gotten a closer look. ]

Hmm. It appears to be an obstacle course of some sort, with some... interesting features. [ Her eyes follow someone in the middle of things, trying to run into a tunnel... only to discover it was just a picture painted on a solid brick wall. Ororo pauses, alarmed, but the guy gets up a few seconds later, perfectly fine. ]

[Laura's gaze follows the same person along his doomed trip into the wall, and then turns to see a young woman get squashed beneath a car...only to stand up, perfectly flat, and reinflate herself with a sucked in breath. Uh.]

I do not understand.

[Someone never watches looney toons.]

[ Ororo hadn't grown up with cartoons like this either. But Evan had, and so had Jamie, and the rest of the teenagers who still liked to leave the TV on cartoon network on some days.

It still doesn't make sense to her, of course. ]

... It isn't supposed to make sense, Laura, I don't think. Cartoons often depict exaggerated physical humor. It's supposed to be funny. [ Ororo smiles a little as someone ahead of them slips on a banana peel, flipping in the air a couple of times before falling back down. ]

[girlverine]

[Laura didn’t seem to think ‘cartoons’ was an excuse, really, but she had to admit there was something vaguely appealing about watching people get so gravely injured and then just get up as though nothing had happened. She tilts her head to the side, watching someone tumbling off a building only to make a crater when they hit the ground, which they climbed out of unscathed.]

[She was used to something similar happening to herself, though doing so without the pain could be intriguing…]

Do you want to go through it?

[She asked, looking over at Storm again.]

[ Hmm. Ororo hums thoughtfully. Truthfully, this seemed like something she'd enjoy from a distance. But Laura seemed so interested... ]

Well, I don't see why not. It doesn't seem all that different from a Danger Room session, after all.

Would you like to go together?

[girlverine]

It appears to be impossible to be injured. [She said, in comparison to the danger room where it was just hard to do. She wasn't sure if the lack of danger made it more interesting, or less.]

[But she nodded at the question, and started towards the spot where people were falling off of buildings.]

[ Oh, good heavens. Did she have to pick that one?

Regardless, Ororo's following after Laura, saying nothing until they get to the top of one such building. She peers down, and sees that a trampoline is set at the bottom, angled in such a way that vaguely implies being launched into some kind of gauntlet. Conventional physics of course would imply that that's just not possible, not with that distance. But...

Ororo looks over to Laura. ]

... Would you like to go first?

[girlverine]

[Yes. Yes she did.]

[The clone peers over the edge of the building as well, green eyes tracing the route from the trampoline to where it was suppose to end up. Not impossible exactly but...well. Ridiculous. Which seemed to fit with the theme.]

Yes.

[She answers and, without hesitation, steps off the roof, curling into a ball in the air, and hitting the trampoline smoothly before being launched faaaaar into the distance. BOING!]

[ Ororo opts to watch Laura go first, trying to see what happens when she makes it to the other side. Even from where she stays put, she can see that somehow Laura is alright, if not landing perfectly on both feet (because of course.)

So, with a (huge) measure of uncertainty, Ororo steps back a short distance, and takes a graceful running leap....! Does she somersault on the way down? Maybe. Maybe she can't help it, being in the air is her favorite thing, even if she was without her powers currently. ]

[girlverine]

[There is a pretty amazing thrill to it, really. Flying. Laura is actually smiling as she lands, smoothly, ages away from where they started, running several steps to burn off speed and colliding harmlessly with a wall.]

[calmbeforethe]

[ Meanwhile, Ororo does the same. Upon landing - a bit less gracefully than she likes, and is used to - she lets her speed carry her off, running and can't quite stop herself before colliding into the wall. She winces, preparing herself for a world of pain... and is surprised when she bounces off like it was made of rubber.

The recoil has her stepping a few paces back, dazed, with a brightly colored starburst proclaiming WHAM!!! above her. ]
