[She's just going to go with 'back in his time because he's old.]

No. Back in your time, people usually had their parents come live with them instead, or something like that.

[For once, she's tactful enough not to mention this means the burden was put on people who weren't always equipped for it instead of people trained for it. But she's thinking it.]

Actually I know a great many people who are my age or lower who still are leaders in their communities. One friend of mine rules a kingdom, and he is over a hundred. One of the most competent warriors in the world, in fact.

[You missed the memo about the Avatar world. Getting older isn't a bad thing, its gaining levels]

[Alright, that's enough to prompt Daria to drop the act a bit.]

That's actually pretty impressive. But you'd be hard put to find someone capable of that where I'm from.

With the right exercise, diet and mindset it is quite possible to stay active late into life. Perhaps there is a lack of that in your world?

[The whole other worlds thing is still pretty new to him]

People are fatter and lazier. [She has plenty of evidence and numbers to back that statement up, too.] I'm sure it doesn't help their quality of life later on.

I see. Well it is always possible to make a change if so desired, even later on.

[He had gained some weight and worked it off]

I'll raise.

Are you sure about that? [Whether she means the philosophy or the card choice, she doesn't say, and she really gives no signs of what type of fakeout that probably is.]

Always.

[To both questions]

I'll raise.

[She has decent enough cards that she plans to make them stretch.]

I have to admit, though, it'd be kind of neat to see more people staying active when they get older. [She's really, really not the athletic type herself, but she hopes to at least stay healthy.]

I'll match, and raise another.

[He has a pretty decent hand himself]

It makes things a little more interesting, at the very least.

Do you suppose that's why they hit a decline? [What is tact? But at least she's being more serious now.] Nothing to do anymore even if they want to?
