What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!

Where: The Happiest Place on the Moon, Malnosso World!
Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

They should be. They're calculated to be tall enough for this. [And somehow, while the Malnosso are making a show of their 'kindness', she doubts the pool will break down, even with the crowds.]

Let's watch for awhile to be sure.

How long is this going to take? Just watching the blasted thing push a wave out isn't exactly what I call fun. [He stands 'patiently', waiting for the interval of time to elapse before it'll spit out another wave. Boooooring.]

[Vegeta, waves come every ten or twenty seconds or so.]

It should be coming right now! [Ami, at least, seems excited.]

[misterbrief]

[Pshhh he doesn't know that. It could take ten minutes for all he knows.]

[So out the wave comes, definitely large enough to go body surfing on, coming at the two of them pretty quickly. He stands there and doesn't even move, looking on with an unimpressed look until the wave gets close to them and he realizes that he's about to go under unless he moves or does something, which ends up being a little too late as it catches him and throws him underwater. Oops.]

[Ami manages to catch the wave, but as soon as she realizes Vegeta hasn't she's quick to paddle until it breaks so she can head back to where he was to make sure he's alright.

She looks all around, quickly. Where was he now? She hoped he was above the water, at least.]

[misterbrief]

[Good thing Saiyans can hold their breath for a really long time anyway.

He pops up out of the water suddenly, right next to her, spitting chlorine flavored water out of his mouth. His hair is all slicked back now too, and that probably looks funny. He doesn't know he's next to her though.] Gah! Ami! Explain yourself now!

[Oh, no. Now she feels somewhat guilty. Still, as soon as she assures herself he isn't hurt, she explains.]

Try a little earlier next time. The wave caught you too quickly that time.

[misterbrief]

[Spinning around, he becomes a little startled that he'd been yelling and she was right behind him. Oops. He looks a little grouchy after that, but it was his own fault. He just likes to blame others for his mistakes sometimes.]

Alright, alright. I will. [After that defeat, he's determined to get this.] Did you manage to get it right? [The body surfing that is. If she already got it and he messed it up, that's just embarrassing on his part, you know...]

[Ami is very aware that he'd probably feel bad to hear she's never had trouble with the water at all, so she keeps her answer a little vague.]

It takes time for everyone to get used to it. [Easily interpreted as 'yes she made a mess too'. It's not his fault this is her element, after all.]

[misterbrief]

[Oh, he is used to her vague answers by now.] Some quicker than others. [Said with a raised eyebrow. But, he's not going to fuss, despite feeling a small burning in his cheeks.]

I'll give it another shot. It should be coming soon anyway. What am I supposed to do, jump into it or something?

More or less. [And if she knows Vegeta, she knows what the actual problem is here:] You have to let it carry you. [You have to rely on that, you have to allow and accept it. You can't fight it instead.]

[misterbrief]

Let it carry me? Hmmmmm. [Well, alright.] I'll give it a go. Here it comes anyway.

[And as the wave approaches, he jumps, and tries to let it carry him...]

[Ami's going to really, really hope he timed it right this time. She's actually half tempted to give the water a subtle nudge with her powers to be sure of it, to make sure he won't be caught off-guard or upset again, but that would throw off the timing for everyone else, maybe...]

Now! [She lets the wave pick her up and carry her as soon as it comes.]

[misterbrief]

[He...half gets it right. It gets him about ten feet before he totally loses it and goes under again. She won't see him, because he is brooding for the moment underwater at his failure, even if he did better that time. Plus, he saw her ace it.

Now he's determined to get it right. Darn it.]

[After it stretches just a bit longer than she'd have expected for Vegeta to surface, Ami isn't worried yet precisely, but she does take a few looks around in case he came up somewhere other than where she was watching.]

[misterbrief]

[He finishes his brooding and comes up, shaking his head a few times and blinking to get the water out of his eyes and wades back over to her.]

[He points an accusing finger.]

If you can do it, I can too. [He is determined! Then he turns to face the wave again.] Ready when you are.

Five seconds now...

[Ami doesn't seem to be either brooding or accusative, but rather trying to be hopeful this will go well this time.

At least he came up and is alright... She feels a definite relief as she sees him break the surface.]

[misterbrief]

[He should probably explain to her that he can stay underwater for a while...

The wave comes, and he actually manages this time, albeit pretty shaky, but he gets it. Barely. Either way, he stands with arms folded, smirking triumphantly at her. Watch him screw it up the next five times because it was a fluke.]

You did it! [Ami flashes Vegeta a broad smile. Not that she had any doubts! And not that she'll mock him for it if the next times do indeed not go as well.]

It's sort of fun, isn't it?

[misterbrief]

Hmmmm. I guess. [He could see this getting boring quickly. As in, needing much, much bigger waves to do it in.]

You do this all day?

Sometimes, people do. I probably won't stay very long. [She enjoys it, but she likes laps, too, when she's trying to clear her mind; and anyway she has a book calling to her sometime this afternoon, too.]

[misterbrief]

[Odd, he didn't find it that entertaining to do this all day, but it wasn't awful. But he's the sort of guy who'd want to do the extreme stuff once he got really good at it.]

I don't blame you. After another ten minutes of this I'd fall asleep.

Falling asleep might be dangerous. [Ami makes the suggestion tactfully, as if she had taken Vegeta seriously.]

But you could come back later, too, if you wanted to rest awhile first.

[misterbrief]

I'm not going to fall asleep in the water, Ami. And you know what? I think I'll take your advice on taking a break. [He is a little frustrated still from failing so much before, and really, he is getting a little bored. You know, because this isn't fighting.]

[Ami is not used to an attention span that can only be held by fighting, but she won't insist that someone stay with something they're not really enjoying, either.]
