[She watches her sister quietly, grey eyes taking in every flicker of emotion that crosses Prim's face. It's a relief to see that she doesn't think herself too old for this sort of gift. That she looks so happy and pleased and even a little excited.

There's no doubting the words when Prim says she loves it. Her sister would never lie to her. But a flicker of surprise does cross Katniss' face - eyes widening just enough, lips forming a small 'o' when Prim says she made her something. She never expected anything in return from her sister. Just having her here is enough. Katniss never needed anything more than that.

But when the bracelet drops in her hand, her lips quirk into a warm smile. The colors remind her of some of the dresses she wore during the Victory Tour, those blues and blacks and silvers. They remind her of her Mockingjay uniform - the one designed by Cinna. But more than that, she has a memory of her sister that's physical now.

Katniss has never been one for jewelry. Not like other girls. But there's no hesitation in putting on Prim's bracelet.]

It's beautiful.

I'm glad you like it. I know - well, I tried a few games, but you know what my aim's like.

[ Even if she hadn't cried and felt horrible for animals when Katniss tried to teach her to hunt, skills like that had never come easily to Prim. Her hands were steady for other things, yes, but throwing things and archery and anything that could have helped her at all in the place Katniss had gone for her?

Those things she had no skill in. ]

Although I didn't try that - what did they call it? The dunk tank.

[ On the off chance she could have won, she'd have felt bad. ]

[She had seen the dunk tank and had wondered at the point of it. The idea seemed cruel. The sort of thing she could easily picture being of amusement in the Capitol. Laughing at the unfortunate fates of others. It seemed cruel in a way some of the other games weren't. Games where no one would be harmed, even if it was just a dip into a pool.

She doesn't blame her sister for avoiding that one. Katniss had done the exact same thing.]

Me neither.

I can't believe there are so many people in so many different enclosures.

[ It's a change of topic, but it's true, prompted by one of the more noticeable groups walking by.

Enclosures, like districts, with the Malnosso as the Capitol... ]

I heard one of them is entirely underwater.

[It is a little overwhelming, being around this meaning people again. She doesn't like the crowd. She doesn't like all the unfamiliar faces that may be a danger to her or Prim or anyone else she cares about. She doesn't like being in an unfamiliar place that feels more like an arena than Luceti ever did.

She shakes her head, frowning.]

I'm glad we're not there then.

I think the people there are only those who can...well, live there.

[ Which is also hard to believe, although less than it might have been, at another point in time. ]

...I think I'm glad we're in the one we're in, really.
