Kirk. Got it.

[She shrugs casually at his remark.] I'm not. I just wanted to look at the money.

You just want to... "look" at the money?

[ He arched a brow at her, not sure how to take that. ]

Can't say I've ever heard that one. Why just look? Why not try and win it?

strangelyliteral: ([red] where do we go from here)

I like my money to be hard earned, not squirreled away by cheater dealers. Besides, what good would it do me here? No one wants an economy back in the bubble.

It's the delight and pleasure of beating men to a pulp who should know better than the wear sunglasses indoors without actually using your fists. And come on, doesn't everyone get a jolly out of gambling, just a bit? Not like we have anything to actually lose here.

Nothing to gain, nothing to lose. It's very superficial.

Superficial is fun sometimes. There's no need for everything to be deep and meaningful all the time. Doesn't that get tiring?

Hey, I never said games weren't occasionally fun. I enjoy winning board games, like Life and Monopoly. It's a lot more charming than sitting in a crowded hall in a game of chance where most people only go to cheat or gawk.

Hey now, rude. I do not cheat at these games. I use the rules to my advantage, which is hardly cheating when the house has the advantage 99% of the time. And you do it to beat the others at the table, even when they do cheat. It's more fun.

And how often do you win this game by "not cheating"?

More than you think. If you know the ways people cheat, you know how to get around it too because it's predictable.

Fine. Then let us go watch you "not cheat" at a game.
