[And as Nami owns that hand of poker, and he watches his chips go right into her pile, he curses at himself for not paying more attention on how to play this game. Even though it's just a stupid game, he hates, hates losing.

The next hand is dealt, and his hand is again pretty bad- not that he's putting together the right cards anyway, and he loses again. To her.]

Ara! Such a shame. Is this your first day? [So cheerful! So pleasant! So pitying!] Are you sure you don't want any help?

[Now, he glares at her and bothers to answer.]

Isn't the whole point of this so you don't see my cards? [He doesn't want your cheerful, pleasant nature or your pity!]

Generally yes, but at this point I'd say it doesn't make much difference either way. Oh, well. Some people just aren't born for the cards.

Oh no, I know what you're up to. And you can forget it. I'll beat you yet, just you watch. [He puts on his determined face, ready to 'beat' Nami at the next hand. Which he won't.]

[She...has to be cheating. This is clearly the answer why he's losing, it couldn't possibly be because he's awful at this, nope.]

There's no way you could be winning all these rounds on luck. What are you trying to pull? [He says as the next hand is dealt. Wow, he didn't think he could of gotten a worse hand than his last one.]

Ah! Good sir, if you continue to accuse me of cheating, I might have to get you thrown out! [Such injured tones.] I'm really not, you know. Could it be possible you're just...bad at this?

[His hand is actually good this time! It really is. But his next four hands will be awful, and he doesn't even know how to salvage the little he can out of them.]

I'm just having a streak of bad luck, is all. Nothing I've had has been worthwhile to even continue on with. [Yeah he has no proof or any good reason to think she's cheating. He's just blaming it on something other than his bad play.]

Because poker isn't just about what cards you have. It's about what other people think about what cards you have. If everyone thinks you have a good hand, they're more likely to fold on you and leave you to win, no matter how bad your cards really are. Have you ever played this before today?
