[Sasuke opens his mouth to ask why she chose him, but hesitates. It's normal for children to be shy and not meet a person's eyes, but she's much too old for that, and seems... not entirely shy at all. He takes a moment to take her measure, then leans and tilts his head until he can just see her eyes.]

[A frown pulls hard at the corners of his mouth, but he wills most of it back. ...Before he can stop himself, he takes a cursory glance around to see if there's anyone he knows nearby. Doesn't seem to be. And with everyone's powers locked down... he thinks of Itachi, how blind he probably is without his Sharingan. Sasuke sighs, low and quiet, and doesn't push at the girl's other hand.]

[ Toph notes that long pause with some caution. That was weird. And with her bending not being what it's supposed to be, she can't get a good handle on what this guy's like. Instinct's telling her that he isn't bad, but. Way to be suspicious! ]

Uh. We were all supposed to head over to some food court, or whatever. Just tell me where the nearest one is, okay? I can make my way over by myself. [ This asking for help thing is making her edgy. ]
