...Don't worry about it. [He doesn't blame her for being confused about it--he knows he still feels confused about the whole thing, and he doesn't really feel like pressing her about it yet. So Crow adjusts his hat a little before he grins slightly.] That stuff isn't our concern right now--instead, we should be thinking about whether we should ride these dinosaurs or not!

You're really thinking about doing that? Hmph. That's exactly the level of recklessness I think I remember expecting from you.

[She's crossing her arms and everything.]

[hehehe] Well I'm glad to meet your expectations, then. [Crow that wasn't exactly a compliment...]

[That was an insult and either he didn't get it or he doesn't care and that just makes Rue even huffier.]

You won't, 'cause they wouldn't allow it. [...At least he's pretty sure they wouldn't, otherwise nobody would be getting on these things if people constantly fall off of them.]

[Thinking through his words again, Rue crosses her arms.]

Were you actually asking me to ride with you?

[Was he?] ...Yeah, why not? It might be more fun to ride with other people than just to do it on your own, right?

[Aside from her complete skepticism about the whole arrangement, she is particularly disinclined to trust Crow. For no reason she can articulate to herself.]

[If Crow has noticed her disdain for him--or rather, his name in particular, he doesn't show it.]

Great, then let's go check it out! [Are you gonna follow along with us or is he gonna have to take your hand to bring you along?]

[She will follow, at a reasonable-to-slow pace and with considerable and advancing disgust. Don't worry, the disgust and apathy hide fear, which is worse. Soon enough Crow is quite far ahead.]

[Crow almost doesn't notice, but eventually he seems to realize that it's rather quiet so he stops and turns to look back at her.]

Why are you lagging behind? I already said that it was gonna be okay, didn't I?

Your word is hardly the consolation you seem to believe it should be.

[Crow, except that though it is his name, it would come out sounding like a slap.]
