Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

[He cast the two rolls one last, dubious look before he took a sample of both for his plate.]

I've never bothered much with sushi, to be honest. It always seemed...I dunno, a bit high class for my tastes.

[More rolls were added as he spoke, including one that mysteriously had fried shrimp enveloped in the rice and seaweed. The sign above it informed him that it also had avocado and hot sauce, but his mind boggled at it. The roll itself looked good, but wasn't sushi supposed to be raw?]

There's Japanese restaurants all over the place, and I see perfectly normal people eating in them all the time. A lot of them don't look very high class, if you ask me. [He's carrying about five plates, all completely filled with rolls, balanced on his arms and looking as if they'd fall- but he's managing.] I've got what I want, are you done yet?

[aerialassault]

Aah-- Right. Food.

[Cliff hurriedly gathered more sushi, no longer caring about content as much as it was visual effect. The larger, egg yolk filled hand rolls were taken alonside smaller rolls that had more tempura-coated shellfish and gratuitous amounts of tobasco.

He made it a point to grab a plate of those dumplings before he caught up with Vegeta.]

[He might steal a dumpling or two when they get back to the table...they look good...

Heading back to the table with the Klausian in tow, he still manages to shove past people rudely and balance his incredible amount of plates. Sitting down, he starts digging in without remorse, though still getting a word in between bites.]

See? I told you your food would still be here, didn't I? Look. Not a single fingerprint.

[Cliff flopped back into his seat upon return and gave his crablegs a once over. The broken legs and scattered bits of sweet meat were still strewn on the plate adjacent to the remaining, unbroken pieces exactly as he remembered them. The napkin that he used and tossed back in haste was untouched.]

...huh. [He speared a fried dumpling and bit part of it off.] Didn't expect to be able to trust them with that.

[misterbrief]

Well, it gives us one thing we can trust them with. [Though no sooner than that is he mowing down his sushi. You'd think he wasn't even tasting it, with how he's stuffing it in his face. Though still managing to be neat and clean about it.]

[And then he makes a pass for one of Cliff's dumplings. You know, without asking.]

[A fist drops down on the offending hand and Cliff shoots Vegeta a look. Even while struggling to pick up a sushi with chopsticks, there were a few things that he needed to lay straight.]

Yanno, I'm a bit partial to those dumplings.

[Moreso than he was to this mysterious anago sushi.]

[misterbrief]

[Ow hey. That's his hand.]

Yes, I can see why, they look delicious. [And his other hand...goes to snake by and snatch one.]

Hey! What's the big idea, man?!

[Cliff dropped the chopsticks and pulled the dumplings away-- they were his.]

There's tons of stuff here. Did ya think to get your own!?

[misterbrief]

I had my hands full. Besides, I wouldn't waste my time getting a plate full to myself unless I knew they were good. [Inwardly, Vegeta is laughing, because the look on Cliff's face. Look at it.]

I just figured you were up for sharing, is all.

[aerialassault]

Not when you've got half the buffet over there!

[He pointedly speared another dumpling, just to prove a (petty) point.]

[misterbrief]

[If only he had his powers here. He'd snatch one up so fast Cliff wouldn't even be able to see it. Maybe he'll just be sneaky instead.]

That's not how you use chopsticks you know, you're not supposed to spear them. You hold chopsticks like this. [He demonstrates, of course, by picking up a piece of his sushi and eating it like so.]

Uh. Right.

[Still keeping a watchful eye on Vegeta hands, he readjusted his grasp and mirrored the motion only to have the dumpling slip between the sticks. Frowning, Cliff tried again.

And again. And again.]

[misterbrief]

[He watches failure after failure, blinking a few times. How...is he screwing this up.]

...Stop moving both sticks. Hold one in place and use your index finger to move the other. [See? He's clicking the two together, only moving the one stick.]

[Cliff can see it. The only people he's seen eat with chopsticks are Souji and Rei, and he doesn't see either of them as being anywhere near any norm of Japanese culture. He tried once more.]

...Huh. So that's how it works. [He laughed.] I don't have much practice with these things. Never been any reason to.

[misterbrief]

Well, it looks like you earned yourself a little bit of culture, didn't you. [Insinuating, of course, that maybe he had no culture at all prior to this. So he just keeps digging into his sushi, waiting for an opportune time to steal one of those dumplings.]

[aerialassault]

[Still clicking his sticks together, Cliff rolled his eyes.]

Puh-lease. Who said anybody was un-cultured? [Frowning, he reached out with the sticks to try for a piece of sushi as he spoke.] I'll have you know, I'm something of an artiste back home. Got an eye for smoothe lines and form-- not that I figure you'd have any apreciation for it.

[One for one. Insults were a two-man game, after all.]

[misterbrief]

Heh. Is that so? What kind of 'smooth lines and form' are you talking about? [Vegeta figures Cliff is just talking about the ladies. He in turn snatches up some more sushi. Not yet...wait for it...]

[aerialassault]

Aw, yanno. The visual arts. The finer things.

[Hot chicks. Cliff closed in on a roll (one of the ones with tempura) and popped it in his mouth.]

[misterbrief]

Right. Why am I not surprised. [His chopsticks fly out to try to grab a dumpling while Cliff is going for his tempura.]

[aerialassault]

[No time to react. Sushi already in his mouth, Cliff dropped the sticks but couldn't make it in time to stop Vegeta.

One dumplling: lost.]

Hey-- what did I just tell you?!

[chomp. chomp. swallow. The sushi was good, but those were his!]

[misterbrief]

[And he downs the dumpling. Man, that's pretty good.]

I don't remember. Tell me what?

[aerialassault]

[brb glowering.]

Hnnnnnnngh.

Nevermind.

[misterbrief]

Heheheheh. [He gets up to go get some. Yes, it's scary as hell to do it, but he is not asking Cliff to go with him like he's some kind of woman who needs an entire pack of other women to follow him.

But believe him that he doesn't practically run, grab a shit ton of dumplings, and bring them back, setting the huge plate in the middle of the table.]

Calm down, there's plenty.
