They were pretty forceful getting everyone here, so of course it's a bit suspicious.

Do they normally make a big deal out of Halloween?

Yes, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's are definitely the biggest holiday Shifts. Last year they infested the entire enclosure with ghosts and spirits. And there was a really bad draft, too.

I wasn't there. But there was a virus. It turned people into zombies, or something similar.

Zombies? Are you serious?

[People turning into zombies over Halloween... the timing sounded like some bad horror movie.]

Completely. It was a bad, bad time for everyone.

....Man, that sounds like too much of a coincidence for my tastes. What are the chances?

Very, very low. But at least this isn't as bad.

Yeah, this is pretty lucky compared to a mess like that.

[And he was kind of glad he missed that last Halloween, too.]

[Rei nods, and then folds her hands on the table in front of her, an odd twinkle forming in her eye.]

Fayt-san. Have you spoken to Cliff-san lately? Specifically about Okita Souji-san?

[etherealblast]

[...Oh.

He had a feeling he knew what she was getting at just from that look and the topic, and he just grins a bit.] Yeah, I have. You've noticed as well?

[faithfulflame]

It's hard not to, wouldn't you say? [She lets out a little laugh]

I think it's sort of sweet, really.

Have to agree there. They just seem to click. [Grinning a little wider, before shrugging.] They just don't seem to realize it... or maybe they do and don't want to try.

Well it could also be that...maybe Cliff-san just doesn't think like that. Souji-san is fairly feminine though. In the right clothes he's more girly than I am.

[She taps her chin thoughtfully.]

We could...try giving them a nudge. Show them that it could be worth trying.

He seem to have a habit of missing the obvious stuff that hits close to home, so I wouldn't be surprised. He probably doesn't even realize it completely.

[Like with Maria. Geez.]

What kind of nudge? Because I already tried, and teasing? Doesn't work.

What sorts of things does Cliff-san find romantic, do you know?

Romantic? [Rei just gets a long, searching pause at that. This kind of question was lost on him.] Couldn't tell you. He's pretty laid back about this stuff.

So just getting him together with Souji. Maybe hitting him over the head with a mallet? You think that would work?

....I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd want to go after either of them with a mallet when they aren't expecting it.

Well, I don't think they'd hurt me. You maybe, but not me.
