[She liked this, the silence between them. That there even could be silence. It was what made her so comfortable around Gale and Madge once. What made her comfortable around the people she felt closest too, here. She would never be the best talker, the best socializer. That she had so many people she could consider friends here in Luceti still surprised her.

When they approached the ride, she eyed it with suspicion. The cartoon animals made her a little uncomfortable. They reminded her of mutts in their own odd sort of way. She glanced from the ride - seemingly tame - back to Jim.]
