Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

Well--uh. Usually you can just do that to get to somewhere. If you're swimming for fun, there's easier things...

[ He looks around for a moment. ]

Do you think you can get to the shallow end? This will probably be easier where we can stand...

Yes, I think I can manage that.

[Aaand swimming over to the shallow end! Though by the time he gets there, he's already feeling a little tired -- once he's finally able to stand, he lets out a soft, tired sigh.]

...this is more work than I thought it would be...

But you made it. We're off to a good start.

[ He musses Ion's hair a little. ]

You can rest for a bit for now. I'll teach you a proper stroke in a few minutes.

[Ion just smiles at the hair-mussing -- though seeing as his hair is a little wet, it probably looks pretty silly now with that.]

"A proper stroke"? Is that another swimming technique?

Well... they're different ways to swim. There's frontstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke...

[And here Ion thought it just involved different manners of floating...]

I never realized there were so many. So you know how to do all of those?

Well... yeah. You know... island, and all that.

[ He tries to play off his discomfort at bringing up Riku's memories, but it'll probably take a while longer before he's finally made total peace with it. ]

You don't really need all of them. They're just good for different things, but all of them get you through the water.

[Even if he can hide it, Ion still knows about Kohan's discomfort with those memories. It's best not to let him dwell on it too much.]

Well, which would you recommend for someone like me?

Um... frontstroke, I guess. It's the one you see the most, I think. This one.

[ And he does a quick lap in the pool, to the other edge and back, demonstrating. ]

[Ion watches as he goes around, waiting for him to come back before commenting--]

You know, I don't think I've ever actually seen you swim before now. You're really good at it!

Really? What about... huh. [ No, yeah, he hasn't really swum around Ion before, has he? ] Well, I guess it's just... one of those things.

Do you think you can give it a try?

...I think so! [Look at dat excitement!!]

[And off he goes, trying to mirror the same thing Kohan did -- though he's not really kicking his legs enough to elevate his whole body, which means he's using a lot more arm strength than necessary to keep afloat. He makes it to the other end of the pool though, but when he turns to try and come back, he's too tired out and just kinda sinks instead.]

[...but no need to give Kohan (too much of) a heart attack, because he pops back up quickly enough and just clings to the edge instead.]

Kohan quickly swims over to him. ]

Are you alright? That was good for a first try. [ Maybe. He hasn't taught anyone to swim before, though. ]

Y-Yes, I'm all right. Just a bit tired now... [He's still somewhat like an old man when it comes to exercise. He takes a short, deep breath, and then smiles.]

It's fun though. I'm sure it's easier learning somewhere like here rather than someplace with waves.

Or someplace cold. I've practiced at the lake sometimes.

[ Back when he was a Heartless and proper buoyancy was not exactly easy to achieve. ]

Do you need me to get you back to the shallows?

Okay. Come on, I'll pull you back.

[ He reaches out to grab Ion's hands. He's never had to deal with someone who can't swim before please let this not sink them both. ]

[Nope -- Ion may sink like a rock when he tries to swim, but thankfully he doesn't need much to keep him afloat when it's someone else doing the swimming.]

[Which is good because he may be clinging. Just a little. Please don't drop him and let him sink to the watery depths below.]

I suppose I just need to practice more... or at least master learning how to float without sinking so quickly.
