[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. ~~There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.~~

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

[Trunks had heard about this place from his sister and he was extremely excited about this. When he arrives, he'll be sporting a casual suit and sunglasses. He takes his shades off and places them in his jacket pocket before hanging the jacket up in the coat room then heading out to the club itself.

His first stop is the bar where he has a couple of drinks and just chilling for a while. After that, he finally hits the dance floor. He'll be doing what looks like a mix of break dancing, acrobatics, and martial arts moves. Once he's tired of dancing, he'll take a seat at one of the tables taking a break but deciding to hit up the bar again for a few drinks.]

[While dancing, Wanda takes note of Trunks. Not only for his space-consuming dance style (which is very different from hers, but not unenjoyable to watch), but for his awesome hair. That is a very cool hair colour-- and it even matches the decor. She wonders if it's natural, or if he dyed it for the club opening. Because obviously-- the club is the center of EVERYONE'S lives right now, right?

When she sees him heading towards one of the tables, she breaks off to follow him.]

... Hi!

[Trunks' attention turns to Wanda when she approaches him. Was this one of Bulla's friends she was talking about? He's very curious to know.]

Hi to you too. This is a really awesome club. I'm glad my sister told me about this place opening up. Did you hear about it from her too or someone else?

Actually... I'm one of the, um, owners? I guess? Kate and I made this place, together, though... she did most of the work, I think. ... I'm Wanda. [She throws her name in at the end, because, oh RIGHT, manners.]

Oh you're one of the owners? So then you know my sister Bulla? She mentioned you were one of her friends opening up this place, that's why I came. It's nice to meet you though, Wanda. I'm Bulla's older brother Trunks.

[Wow he seems to keep running into his sister's friends.]

[That's because your sister is amazing and friendly and so of course she's got friends everywhere!]

Oh! ... Bulla's mentioned you! She actually made the dress I'm wearing tonight. ... She's great! [Which means you must be great by extension. ]

[He's kind of jealous a little, but of course he won't say it.]

She did huh? That's my sister for you, she's great at what she does. Our mom even wants to put her into a fashion school when she'd old enough. But I think she'll end up opening her own clothing line here first before she even has to go to school.

[He of course lets out an amused laugh at that.]

Well... if she keeps this sort of thing up, she will. She's... got a great eye for colour. Did she do your clothes, too?

More so she picked this stuff out for me and worked her magic on it. I'm proud my little sis has tons of friends and people like her clothes, she really deserves it. Especially when most people who befriend her at home are mostly doing it because I'm her brother.

Oh? ... She seems so good at making friends. Why-- would people use you as an excuse. I mean-- no offense. [She back peddles a little, eyes going wide.] You seem very nice too. And Bulla says you're very smart.

Because of our family name. We're kind of wealthy back home, so you can imagine what that's like. Plus I'm the president of our family's company on top of it. And a lot of girls are looking to date me when I have no interest in dating.

Ahhh... so you're, like... famous? [Wanda doesn't have a very good grasp on money. She knows she doesn't really have any, and that they do a lot of shop lifting because of it, but... the ideas of power through money have never really been a thing in her life.] ... I know what it's like to have unwanted advances. There is a guy back home on my world who will not take "no" for an answer. ... I'm sorry you have to put up with that, too. [She can't help but feel a little disappointment. He is very attractive, after all, with that purple hair, but no interest is no interest. And she shouldn't be wasting her time with such things anyway.]

[Wanda dear, you're probably way too young for him anyway. But his eyes lower before he sighs.]

My family's really well known so being the face of the company means yeah I get noticed too. But honestly I hate it sometimes because most girls only want me for my money. It's really annoying and that's why I don't want to date. I just want a girl who will like me for me, you know? Not my name or my wealth.

[Oh, undoubtedly. But Wanda's pretty oblivious to such standards. Or just pretty oblivious in general, take your pick.]

My family's really well known, too, but... not in such a positive way, unfortunately. ... But yes. People should like people for who they are, not for any-- masks they put on or whatever. I absolutely agree.

[Oh well that's unfortunate. Still, from the short time they've talked, Wanda seems like a nice enough girl.]

I'm sorry to hear that, Wanda. You're a nice girl to me and I don't think your family's name should be used against you or make people not want to befriend you.

Well... We're also mutants. And mutants are pretty much... hated in my world. ... But it won't be that way forever, so I try not to carry too many grudges. [She smiles, trying to brush away such a serious topic.] But-- what about you. I saw you dancing out there... Very stiff, but flow-y. I don't think I've seen that before. Did you learn that being president?

[He can see that she wants to change the topic, so he does it for her sake.]

Nah, I learned it being a martial artist and reading up on dance moves. I guess you can say I'm both physically and mentally fit.

Lucky... not everyone gets both! ... You learned all that just from-- reading? [Dayum.]

The martial arts I learned from my dad actually. But the dance moves? Yeah, I learned that all from reading.

That's-- very impressive. I don't learn... anything when I read. [No, Wanda, you don't know how to read. There's a difference.]

My best friend is the same way, so don't feel bad. I had to walk him through our classes a lot in high school. If you ever want help with studying, you can contact me over the journals.

... I may do that. [Nooope. The fewer people who know her stupid secret the better. But the offer is appreciated.] So... if you don't dance as a president, what... do you do?

Board meetings, paperwork, meeting with other CEOs, parties, and sometimes going golfing. It's pretty boring.

Wow... Yeah. I mean-- no offense or anything but-- that sounds really dull. ... Do you at least like golf?

I tolerate it. But otherwise, no offense taken since I pretty much hate the job half of the time and try to get out of it.
