Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
Who: Wanda Maxiomff, Kate Bishop, + Anyone who wants to show up
What: Club HQ's grand opening
When: January 31st
Where: HQ (Across the road from house 14)
Summary: Kate and Wanda finally unveil their Nightclub.
Rating: PG to PG-13.
[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.
The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

Kind of... his mom? [The surprise starts to settle as he remembers something.] Oh... you mean, when he changed reality here? You... you were his mom then, right? So that's all that you're... talking about. [She can't actually be Billy's mom, right? She's his age!]
...Right?

[And his drink is evaporating all too quickly into his mouth.]
no subject
[She fidgets a bit, awkwardly, Trying not to light up with hex aura.]
I know Billy was trying to... not tell people, for a while. I don't think it's a secret any more, though.
no subject
[He says blankly, as he rubs at his head.]
It sounds like the cat's definitely left the bag. Wait... Tommy, too? You don't mean the guy who looks like Pietro... [And has the same power. Why didn't he guess it sooner?]
no subject
Um. ... Strong genetics, I guess.
no subject
I guess so! Man... That really must be weird. [But he finds himself smiling.] But it must feel pretty good too... to find family in unexpected places.
[Like when he found Rogue.]
no subject
... Yeah. Yeah it is-- really weird. I mean-- I'm not anyone's mother. ... But it's really nice having family around, again. And they're both really good guys.
no subject
no subject
... Uh. So yeah. ... I figured that's why Billy was willing to dance with me. [Short story long.]

... Can I take your glass back to the bar?
no subject
It's easy to find reasons - you just have to look in a mirror!
[He glances down at his empty glass.]
Um... Thanks, but no need for that! I can bring both our glasses back there and be back here in a flash, after all. [And then his smile fades.] ...Unless you just want to head back to the bar. Whatever you want to do.
no subject
I... just want to dance. ...And have fun. ... Y'know. Enjoy myself. ... The music. The-- people.
[That totally includes you, Kurt. Though she's not sure how to say that.]

Don't worry... I'll be back in a flash!
[He'll bamf to the bar and back very quickly - hope he wasn't too careless about putting those glasses down. But he wonders... could she mean, dancing together?]
no subject
... a very smokey flash. ...Effective though. Thank you. Again.
[She totally meant together, though in her mind it's very much a dancing next to, since she's not very good at partner dancing. Not very good at partner dancing, but sort of hoping for, anyway. She'll figure it out.
For now, she just slowly starts up again, her hips popping to the beat, as she starts to get back into the music. She keeps her eyes on Kurt though, instead of closing them, like how she does when she dances alone.
Enjoy your creepy eye contact?]
no subject
Whoa... That's radical! His eyes dart around a bit, and it's a bit before he manages to make his eyes stick to eye contact. He bashfully grins at her.]
Now those are moves!
[And he breaks into his own dorky dance.]
no subject
...So are yours!
no subject
no subject
Nope! Way too many guys are afraid to move at all...! I think they're afraid they'll look-- stupid or something. [She laughs. She's relatively certain all dancing looks stupid, objectively speaking. It's such a weird thing, your body moving in strange ways, twitching about; but it's fun. And it's a fun she actually indulges in.]
no subject
No way! Why should they be afraid of looking stupid... when they could look stupid! [He tries to evoke the positive slang varient, as he shakes his bony hips. Dancing's always been fun and felt natural. He just loves the flow.]
no subject
[Keeping her eyes on him, as she is, she can't help but notice, ]
... Hmm, I-- don't know if you care or not, but-- your tail is showing.
[She hopes he doesn't mind. She'd rather he wasn't wearing the holowatch at all, but that's hardly her call to make.]
no subject
[He grabs his tail nervously, looking around in a panic. And then he quickly tries stuffing it down the back of his pants.] No one saw, right?!
