[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

Hah hah ew. [She chuckles. Wanda. Don't talk about your own team like that. You have to present a unified front!] ... It would also mean him telling the truth about something like that. ... I'm sure he'd say he was saving your neck, and... he blew up the football field himself while doing ... some sort of James Bond thing.

[He laughs at that, his drink almost going up his nose.]

Hahaha! I almost snorted my drink out. Thanks, I needed that.

No problem. I only say it because it's true...[She's proud of herself now; usually she's not the funny one! ]

I don't think you want this in your nose-- it'll probably burn.

Yeah... you're probably right. So don't say anything too funny while I take this sip, alright?

[This drink is dangerous. He can't quite taste the alcohol in it.]

I wish I could say funny things on purpose... Pietro calls me the "Straight man" which-- I think is his way of saying I'm not funny. [Oh look, more that they can have in common! She rests an elbow on the bar, and her chin against that corresponding hand]

No offense, but I've learned not to put too much faith in anything Pietro ever says. [He sets his drink down, leaning his arms on the bar a bit. When did the room start swaying back and forth?]

But I know what you mean. I mean, every team needs someone who's seri... serious, right? Otherwise, they'd never get anything done.

[Her lips purse a bit at the criticism of her brother. He's an asshole, sure, but he's almost always right about things.] ... Well I think teams would do better with more serious people than not. ... Not that there's anything wrong with-- funny people.

Every now and then, yeah, I guess we need to take it easy. Just... don't tell Kurt I said that.

[And then, out of the corner of his eye, he spots something. Something that makes him suddenly go quiet before turning back to his drink, his face going back to grumpy now.]

Oh... yeah. No. I mean-- Kurt's... Kurt. He's-- good at what he does. He can be-- funny and get things done at the same time... [She babbles a little while Scott looks away, oblivious, trying not to turn too bright red at the mention of her current annoyingly persistent focus of desire. Not wishing to dig herself into an embarrassing verbal trench, she shuts up, and focuses on her drink. When she looks up, she's happy for some sort of distraction.]

... What's wrong? [Please don't say she said something wrong about Kurt.]

[It's a certain redhead and a tall, mysterious Cajun that have put the sour expression on his face.]

...It's nothing. I think I'm gonna need another drink.

[And judging by his tone, it's definitely not nothing.]

[Wanda gestures to the bartender, because she's nothing if not an enabler, apparently.] Did-- I say something wrong? Because-- Kurt's great. I mean. Serious is better for teammates, maybe but... That's nothing against him...

No, it's... got nothing to do with that. You're fine.

[As he's brought his new drink, he immediately starts downing it again, setting it down only when it's mostly empty before getting up out of the barstool, a little shaky on his feet. He probably shouldn't be trying to walk, the lightweight that he is.]

[maximoff_girl]

[Wanda is surprised by his sudden drinking affinity. Apparently he really likes the red-drink. She also gets up, seeing him sway.] Hey-- are you ok?

I'm fine. Really. I just... [He lets go of the bar, taking a step backwards...]

--Whoa! [Aaaaand down he goes, tumbling to the floor.

Lightweight.]

[maximoff_girl]

Oh-- god! [Wanda makes an attempt to save him, but gravity is a harsh mistress, and Scott is at least a head taller than Wanda, even in her precarious heels. She grabs for his arm, and for a minute it seems like, yeah, she's got this! Then the rest of his body happens and oh, god, no, she does not.

She ends up sprawling down on top of him in just the most awkward way possible.]


Ahh--! Oh, god! Ah-- I'm so sorry!

[She glows, her hex aura turning on in her embarrassment.]

[Okay, it's official. Scott does not like alcohol anymore.

Fortunately, the only thing that's hurt is his pride, though having Wanda fall on top of him probably didn't help any matters with that.

He's about to try to get up when he notices a certain glow. He reaches up to put his hand on her shoulder, an attempt to reassure her.]

Oof... no, it's my fault. Are you okay?

[maximoff_girl]

[Wanda's not that heavy, and, much like the X-men, she's learned to fall. She's also pretty soft, like how girls be.]

I'm-- I tried to stop you from falling. I'm so sorry. Are you-- hurt? [Awesome grand opening, Wanda. Also: Get off him, already. She's still glowing.]

[Yeah, she is pretty soft, isn't she? He even thinks about it for half a second before he shakes his head, as if trying to clear the alcohol out of it. He shifts under her, trying to sit upright.]

I'm fine. But your powers...

[He's super-sensitive to things like that. After all, he's certainly had his fair share of public displays.]

[She sits up, straddling him now, looking at her hands, fingers splayed in an almost jazz-hands position. How on earth she is still, y'know, inside her dress after a tumble like that is a miracle. Or, more likely with this one, just home-grown magic.

She rolls her fingers, joint by joint. It's a little eery, actually, since most people don't have quite that level of control over the individual joints in their fingers.]

Sorry-- I just-- sorry.

[She takes a deep breath and lets it out, trying to calm herself, her aura flickering down.]

[She can't see it through the glasses, but his eyes go completely wide. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the way she flexes her fingers. (Hint: it's the fact that there's a beautiful girl in a flashy dress on top of him.)

His hand slowly leaves her shoulder, his hands not exactly sure where they should go. So they just sort of hang awkwardly in the air.]

Uh, don't worry about it. Really.

[maximoff_girl]

[Wanda, meanwhile, is not entirely sure how to get up. If she gets her feet under her in this position, her knees will go forward, and Scott will have one HELL of a view then. but to get up backwards, she'll either need to brace against him, or lean forward to get a hand on the floor and push against that.]

You're, uh-- really not used to drinking then.

[She's stalling, trying to think of the best option.]

[The view's too good as it is. If she leans forward, then his poor, teenage mind won't be able to take it. But the fact that she's not moving isn't exactly doing his modesty any favors.]

Yeah, I'm... really not.

[He looks away, clearly a little nervous. Of course, the silver lining of all this is that he doesn't have time to think about seeing Jean being friendly with a certain one of Wanda's father's henchmen.]

[maximoff_girl]

[Tonight is just not your night, is it, Slim. Taking her cue from his earlier actions, Wanda OH so awkwardly puts a hand on his shoulder, and does her best to push herself to a standing position. It's far from graceful, but it gets the job done, at which point she simply steps over him, so she's not... over him anymore.]

Here-- let me help you up? [She offers him a hand, because it went SO well last time. But at least this time he's not falling.]

[He hesitates for a moment at the hand, not because she is who she is, but because his mind is still a little focused on the fact that he just made an ass of himself. And that they were just tangled in an awkward mess.

But he does take it, and thankfully, he's a lightweight in more ways than one. He pulls himself to his feet with her help, shaky but upright.]

I'm really sorry about that. I guess... I kind of overdid it...
