Snow Fight!

[misterbrief]

Who: EVERYONE.
What: Snowball free-for-all.
When: February 25th, during the Harvest Moon Valentine's Event!
Where: The road and the area between Houses 16, 19, and 27
Summary: Who knows how it started, but there's a war being waged in the street- and you've just been tagged a few times by a snowball. Join in on the fun, seek revenge, or just try to get out of the fray! Maybe make a new friend or two, you never know what will happen with those Heart Meters!
Rating: S for snow.



It was a calm day until someone decided to be a little mischievous. But accidents do happen, and one snowball lead to another until a full out war started in the middle of the village. Everyone for themselves, pelting each other, dragging the poor passerby into the chaos with either a well aimed or not-so-well aimed snowball.

[Right when she's about to duck behind her cover, the snowball smacks her square in the face. She wipes the white fluff off as quickly as she can.]

Now that's twice too many.

[No more going easy! Which means it's time to utilize some handy spells. She's going to conjure up snowballs as quickly as she can, that way, she can initiate a rapid fire sequence! Watch out Luke, she's ready to shower you with snowy ammunition.]

[When he feels the stirring of power in her, he's ready. If she means to cheat, then...by all means he will too!

As the snowballs fly at him, Luke holds out his hand, catching them in midair.]

I think that's cheating.

[And then they're flying back at her!]

Magic's not cheating! I'm just utilizing something I have to my... [Her sentence falls short as she notices that none of the snowballs hit their target.

Wait, now they're being sent right back at her. Oh crap. Duck for cover, duck for cover! She scrambles to get behind cover, but not before quite a few snowballs splat against their target.]

Advantage?

[Luke grins, and plucks up a few snowballs of his own, little bubbles of telekinetic energy holding them together.]

Yes...

[This will prove a bit more difficult than she thought. Alright, she's going to need a plan b! She'll try to think of one while occasionally chucking a single snowball in Luke's direction. She won't try to barrage him again, since that clearly didn't work.]

[Luke ducks aside, and when he sees she's not using more of the magic he'd felt originally, his retaliation comes from a thrown snowball instead of a barrage of his own.]

[An idea springs into her head! This might be dangerous, but she'll try it anyway.

The snowball splats against her shoulder before she goes to pick up the last few remaining snowballs she had. Right, step one. Haste spell! There's a little light that flashes just for a moment behind the snow dune when it activates.

Step two will come soon, but first, she's going to toss one of her remaining snowballs first.]

[Luke's on the move for a better position, but he does get clipped by the snowball. The flash was a tip off that something was going to happen and he wanted to be behind cover. His little Oort cloud of snowballs moved with him too...]

Come back here you! [She's going to try and keep you from getting away Luke, with another pelting of snowballs conjured up with a little bit of magic. But she's only making one at a time for each hand this time around, but she is dispersing them as fast as her arms will allow her to.]

[Some of them hit him, of course. Others are intercepted by his own snowballs.]

Hey! What did I say about cheating!

[As he complains though, he's balling up a huge snowball right behind her with the Force...]

Like I said, magic's not cheating! It's just using what I have to my advantage! [She's certainly not going to notice what's behind her until it's too late.]

Well then, why don't you have a look behind you!

[Wumph! As he says this, a gigantic, soft snowblob drops out of nowhere onto her head.]

Wha-? [She tries to whip herself around in time to see the huge snowball, but alas, the haste spell she had going on worked against her this round, as she trips over her own feet right as the snowball nails her, sending her to the ground.

She lays there for a moment before lifting up a hand, index finger pointed toward the sky as snow gathers in a rectangular shape to the side of it. She waves her makeshift white flag.]

[And Luke meanders over to her and offers a hand up.]

Gotcha.

[She dismisses her makeshift flag before taking Luke's offer, all while wiping snow off her head.]

Haha, wow, I did not expect a favorite of mine to be used against me! [Back at home, she was infamous for the gigantic snowballs she could conjure up.]

Well, you'll find I'm full of surprises.

[Luke laughs and hikes her back to her feet.]

I'm Luke, by the way. Luke Skywalker.

Isn't everyone? [She dusts any remaining snow off of her once she's back on her feet.]

Pleasure to meet you Luke. I'm Karis Renel.

Same to you, Karis.

[He lets go of the Force, letting his snowballs shower down around them.]

Some sort of mage?

[spellfeather]

That's right! A spellslinger to be specific. [One that isn't currently carrying her usual channels at the moment.]

I take it your one as well? Or something more Psi based?

[thefinaljedi]

No, I'm no mage. My power comes from the Force, I'm a Jedi Knight.

[He's obviously trying to gauge her reaction, wondering if the term is familiar.]

[It's nowhere near familiar, and now you've got yourself a baffled Karis on your hands, Luke.]

Jedi Knight? I've never heard of such before.

[thefinaljedi]

Ah well.

[He shrugs.]

We're an order of peacekeepers in my galaxy. Some people know about us, others don't. It's just easier to ask.

[Yaaaaay, someone else to share intergalactic woes with. Maybe.

Peacekeeper? Karis wasn't sure what to think of that, but it makes her a tad bit wary.]

Sounds like a tough job. [At least, compared to hers.]

It is at times. We're rebuilding after the Rebel Alliance finally managed to push the Empire out of power, so there's a lot of work to do.

[That doesn't make Luke himself any less of a wanted man by the Imperials. Look at that Karis, common ground!]

[Common ground and hope really. Hearing that an empire was pushed out of power sparked a hope that such a thing could happen in her own world, and it glinted in her eyes.]

I'll certainly take your word for it! [But now one thing crosses her mind that she can't help but be curious about.]

How long did it take for them to accomplish that though? Overthrowing the power of an empire is rather difficult.
