[It had been a quiet week for Aang, for the most part. No whirlwind love affairs, just a snowball fight. And when he sees the invitation to the festival, he only feels excited for it. He doesn't take the teleporters - rather, he takes Appa there, and he will offer rides to anyone who manages to meet him before he sets off from the front lawn of House 56.

At the festival, the fifteen year old monk will browse around freely, either by himself or with any of his friends. Appa and Momo may also be close at hand. He spends a lot of time collecting souvenirs or at the musical performances, where he may try to sing along. He's also there to see the fireworks and will once again offer Appa for better views of the display.

He will also find himself partaking in some hot chocolate throughout the event - moreso for the taste than for actually feeling cold. Perhaps the plain hot chocolate is making him even friendlier than usual, if that's possible. But brace yourself for horrible pick-up lines if he ends up trying the salted.]

[ As he throws...! A stuffed llama at his head. It's a stuffed llama with a unique design ]

What? [It comes so out of nowhere that he almost fumbles, but then he takes a moment to look it over, puzzled.]

A... hopping llama? [Raised eyebrow.] 'I heart u'!

Oh, you wouldn't say that it was flying?!

[ But yes. He leans now, towards the other boy ]

I guess it was flying! But also... kind of like a hop? [He raises an eyebrow. This is a serious thing to consider.] And hopping llamas are the kind I'm used to... I wish there were flying ones!

Ooooh, llamas hop where you're from, huh? What's the mix - cricket? Kangaroo? Badger?

[Aang gives an Avatar shrug.]

Beats me! The llamas I've seen pictures of seem close enough for me. Just... less hoppy! All I know is, they sure are fun to ride!

Jeez, you're always all about the riding, aren't you?

It's just my favorite hobby! And I don't get that many chances to ride new animals here. [He misses Platina's Empoleon.]

So you've tried the bears, deer, and dolphins?

N-not really. Sokka made me promise not to try riding any bears... plus they're a lot like platypus bears and they're one animal that never seemed fun to ride! Deers always look too weak, and I've never been able to find any dolphins!

[ ... Wow, smart ]

Oh, that's probably a sound idea with bears. They are alpha predators, after all. I expect Korra-chan could do it, but I have some doubts about you.

Maybe I could if I tried! But I'd rather try with a polar bear dog like Korra. They look a lot more fun to ride.

[Like just about everything else at this festival, the wares touted by the souvenir stalls baffle Jean with their novelty. He takes the time to pick through the motley display - inspecting a shiny pinwheel here, rolling his eyes at a sappy-eyed stuffed kitten there - but while it's kinda fun to look, he doesn't plan on taking anything home with him.

...Hey, wow, that toy whatever-the-fuck animal looks super realistic. He'll reach out to pick it up by the arm. (Spoilers: it's not a stuffed animal. Spoilers part two: it might actually be Momo.)]

[It very well might be Momo. Because normal stuffed animals don't chitter like that at being lifted by the air.

Momo flails his other hand at Jean's hand and will also try to lick at the nearest finger.]

[wipesfaith]

What the--?! [And he'll unceremoniously try to fling the creature away when he feels a wet and warm lemur tongue on his finger.]

[The lemur gives a squeak as he's flinged, but then he spreads his bat-like wings and flies right at Jean, to perch himself on his head.]

[wipesfaith]

[Oh god it can fly what the hell-- He takes a wide step back, but that makes it no less easy for Momo to land on his head. His hands shoot up to try to pry him off.]

Get off of me!

[And then there's a teen monk chuckling at the scene as he approaches with a tofu shishkabob in hand, while Momo artfully tries moving out of the way of Jean's hands continuously.]

Looks like you met Momo!

[wipesfaith]

This thing belongs to you? [The more times the whatever-it-is evades his grasp, the more frustrated he gets, but that doesn't stop him from trying. It's turning into a weird kind of dance.]

Yep, he's a good friend of mine, But he's no thing, he's a flying lemur!

[Aang watches the scene and laughs, while Momo keeps scurrying away from Jean's hands.]

I really like your dance!

[wipesfaith]

It's not a dance, I'm just trying to get it off of me!

[savedtheworld]

It's not? Why didn't you say so? [He says as innocently as ever.]

Hey, Momo! [Aang holds up the shishkabob. Momo looks towards it immediately, his eyes widening. And he lifts off from Jean's head to swoop at Aang and cling to the kabob.]

[wipesfaith]

I thought it was pretty obvious... [Grumble grumble. He swipes at his hair in an attempt to smooth it out - the lemur messed with his 'do, man. But okay, okay, he'll try to stop being all sour.]

Thanks for that.

[Do the do. But Aang's used to dealing with sour types, so he just shrugs while Momo licks at his share of the cabob's contents.]
