Do you mind if I sit down with you? [It was better than sitting alone at least.]
no subject
[Wait, he's sitting beside her? Before she can even think, the next few words are out of her mouth.] Of course not.
... It is not as if there was someone sitting there before.
[Really, she's trying to not look too pleased about his company, but it's harder to hide than ever by then.]
no subject
Hahaha, well, you never know. [He spreads out one of the blankets he has in his arm and sits down next to her. Careful not to spill his own cup of hot chocolate.]
By the way, I like your outfit. It's very pretty.
no subject
[She feels overheated despite the cool night settling in, and after a moment she sets the half-finished mug down. The reason why becomes apparent after that; hesitantly, she shifts in to lean against Vash, letting her weight settle on the much larger figure as she, somewhere in her mind, hoped that the closeness would be accepted.
Without Vash acting too insane over it.]
no subject
He wasn't letting himself because there was no way someone like him deserved someone as beautiful and kind as Adela. She deserved so much better. Besides, how would it work out? Even if they stayed in Luceti forever he still wasn't human. How would that be fair to her-
-then he feels her weight lean against him. For the briefest of moments he stiffens in surprise. It's less than a couple seconds and then he's relaxing. Letting his arm drift around to hold her just a little closer and give her all the resting support she needed against him.
Maybe, just maybe things could work out this time. His brain stops thinking as his free arm reaches out to hold her hand.]
no subject
... Vash?

no subject
But, the part of her that wants to forgo thought altogether ends up victorious as, rather suddenly, she leans up to press a hard, unpracticed kiss against him.]
no subject
Then she's leaning up. He feels her lips against his. Somewhere way off in the distance it seems he can hear fireworks going off. At least he thinks he does, but that's not important.
He kisses back. Not the most practiced in the world, but he's shared a kiss or two before. His is gentle and soft, but it's still there. Accepting her kiss.]

Sadly, every kiss must come to an end eventually. Vash finally pulls away with a small, shy laugh. As he whispers to her.]
Adela, I think... I think I've fallen in love with you. I hope that's alright.
no subject
And I you, Vash.
no subject
Could you pinch me? I want to make sure I'm not dreaming.
no subject
Instead of pinching him, she'll promptly smack him upside the head for that.]
Is that proof enough for you?
no subject
His laughter dies off, but not the smile as particularly big firework goes off and he looks up at it.
He was so happy right now. The happiest he's ever been since he woke up alone in the house he had shared with so many people the night before. Vash rubs his thumb against Adela's hand that he was still holding. Happy because he finally wasn't all alone anymore.]
no subject
no subject
That sure is a pretty one! [Of course he says that as a red one is fired off.]
no subject
[Of course he would comment on the red ones. She had a feeling that red was a favourite colour of his, judging on what he wore and what flowers he looked at the most. Still, even if it were the simple night sky they were looking at, Adela would be happy to be there at Vash's side.]
May the night never end...
no subject
Her mention of the night never ending makes him think about how eventually the night will end. That they'd both go to their own rooms eventually. Would he wake up and find her gone?
He just reminds himself that for her it would probably be best if he did wake up and find her returned home. His smile never falters as he thinks these things.]
Yeah, I hope it doesn't.
no subject
[Suddenly she feels uncertain. But... If they're together, it's something he must know right? She knows she has to tell him, at least at some point, though her heart can't help racing at the thought of how he'd react. How would he...
...]
Vash... What if I were to tell you that... That... I am not entirely a human being?
[The words are spoken softly, almost fearfully as she squeezes at his hand again, pleading for comfort.]
no subject
[He lets her squeeze his hand as hard as she wishes. A small smile on his face as he rubs his thumb gently around her fingers. Trying to give the comfort she was pleading for.] You would be okay with that, wouldn't you?
Heh, because to tell you the truth. I'm actually not a human being at all.
[He lets it out. She was so much braver than he was. At least for tonight, he wasn't going to say anything at all.] Of course, if that is a problem, I'd understand.
no subject
[She's smiling, more relaxed and leaning her head against Vash more as she shares the secret with him. Now that he's said something, it feels more like he's simply accepting her rather than planning on using her, or rejecting her for what she is.]
I am a Magus... the daughter of a human and a Succubus. I can live my life as a human should I choose to do so, though there will come a time when I must make the choice of whether to live a mortal life or risk everything to live eternally.
no subject
[He honestly wouldn't know how to advise her, but he would be lying if he said he wasn't slightly excited to hear she could possibly live eternally. Someone he wouldn't be forced to watch grow old and die.
Of course, now that she's taken the leap to tell him what she is. It was only fair he do the same.]
Well, where I'm from, they would call me a Plant. Hahaha! Ah, well, not like a tree or anything like that. On my world, many years ago, humans once created an organic machine. They had their own thoughts and were alive, but they needed the machines they were created with in order to survive. A bit like a life support system.
No one really knows how or why, but I was born from one of them. So I don't need the same life support that they do. I guess you could say I'm an evolved form.
[He leaves out telling her just what Plants can do for now and Knives. That was just too much at once and he wanted to still enjoy the night and the way the different lights in the sky would brighten Adela's face.]
no subject
[She's frowning, trying to imagine it - but it really is difficult to do. An organic machine? Just what is that supposed to be, and for what purpose? And Vash was born from one of those? It's kind of hurting her head.]
... Still, so long as you are here with me, I cannot say I mind.
no subject
[By sometimes he means all the time. He doubts he'll ever really understand the how or why Knives and him came to be.]
And I'll stay with you for as long as you want me to.
[The fireworks were entering their grand finale. Sooner or later the pair would have to choose to head home or borrow one of the cottages the Malnosso had been so kind to provide people.]
