[He'd been looking to try his hand at a bit of everything available, really.... and spotting a familiar face at one of the booths is a nice bonus. He quickens his pace over to the booth, grinning a bit playfully as he sneaks up behind Rudy as he takes aim, and--]

Hey there.

[speaks right over his shoulder.]

Rudy's hand jerks slightly in response as the gun goes off, the round's path instead of hitting his target, ends up going slightly above it. ... Aww, missed. If his hand didn't jerk slightly, he'd have hit it for sure. Thanks, Fayt.

With a heavy sigh, he holds the gun downwards as he looks over his shoulder.]

[He feels a little bad at the expression on Rudy's face..... just a little. But that doesn't stop the small laugh he gets in response to that sigh.]

Sorry, sorry. But hey, you can always try again you know. [It's not like they were spending any money on these things... he pats Rudy on the shoulder comfortingly before swerving around to face him properly.]

Fun festival though, right?

Guess so. I'm just havin' bad luck lately with this sort of thing, seems.

[He tenses slightly at the shoulder pat, not expecting such a gesture. It was a little familiar, though that isn't to say Rudy felt uncomfortable. Least it wasn't a head pat, anyway. Then it'd really remind him of someone else.]

Yeah, definitely. [He'll reach for his cup, holding it but not taking a drink just yet.] I hear there's going to be a fireworks display tonight.

[Fayt's smile drops a bit in surprise at the tension in Rudy's shoulder, before discreetly letting his hand fall away. No touching. Alright then...]

At least they're free, right? You can try as much as you like that way.

[Even if they might be rigged, that didn't mean they couldn't try and have fun doing it. His smile returns at the mention of the fireworks, though.]

[He returns that smile easily enough, as he's looking forward to the it himself. Who doesn't like fireworks?]

They'll be over the lake, I hear. [There's still some time left before then, though! Rudy's attention returns to the prop gun, pondering. There's a spare available if Fayt wants to give it a try too!] Anyway, let's try another round. Least these don't cheat you for your gella.

Works for me. [He scoops up the gun, hefting it in his hands. 'Gella' was probably currency, he figured.]

Between the two of us, we should be able to get a prize... Though I'm still not sure we can count on these not being rigged.
