Summary: An absolutely ordinary week in Luceti ends on a high note, with a festival to tickle everyone's fancy.

"A little chilly too," she said, reaching to take his hand. "Though we could change the bit about the dancing. The droids are playin' the kind of music you could use to waltz."

"If you'll dance with me, I'd be inclined to do that." He squeezed her hand, ready to lead her off to where the music could found.

"Can't think of anyone else I'd like to dance with," she said with a smile. "Come on, it's this way."

Loki grinned, gone from bored to in a very good mood indeed. He escorted Rogue over to space where they could dance. The music wasn't the best, but it didn't really matter, at that point. He was happy to lead her in a waltz or two.

Their good example was... completely not followed. It didn't really bother Rogue. After the second dance, she laughed and led Loki over to get something to warm drink. She was getting cold.

"I think I'm gettin' better," she said. She'd almost completely unstiffened by the end of the first song.

"I think you are as well," Loki smiled. "Just a bit of practice, yes? And I'll be happy to help you practice more, you know." He kissed her hand. "Still not warmed up, though?"

"I don't mind practicin' with you. We could go back after this." She was safe when she danced with him. And he enjoyed it so much that she wanted to be able to share it with him. She smiled at him a little, still wearing her paper mask. "Maybe I should have gone for the ski mask instead."

Loki grinned. "I could always pretend..." He glanced around where they were going. "After what?"

"Hot chocolate," Rogue announced, almost at the booth. "I saw that they had all different kinds of flavors and I want to try."

"Ah. Maybe this vendor will have tea as well." He'd been annoyed by the lack of tea and coffee so far. He wasn't at all enamored of hot chocolate.

"We'll check and see," Rogue said.

Unfortunately, when they got there no coffee or tea was to be found.

"They have unsweetened versions," Rogue said, in effort to offer a acceptable alternative.

Loki sighed dramatically. "It's a conspiracy to force me to drink chocolate," he grumbled. "What flavor shall I try?"

"Peppermint?" she said, then shook her head. "No, that'd probably make it too sweet. Maybe the salted caramel or the spicy hot chocolate. Though the caramel might defeat the purpose... I'm probably gonna have the one with the spices."

This choice was not all that surprising, really. Rogue loved adding spices to things.

"Mmm....caramel is very sweet indeed. I don't know if the salt would really be enough to compensate for that. Perhaps I'll try the spiced one as well. I rather like spiced wine..."

"It's worth a shot," Rogue agreed. "You don't have to finish it if you don't like it."

She placed the order for two spicy hot chocolates, one unsweetened, and handed Loki his mug.

Loki took his hot chocolate and gave it a suspicious sniff. "Hm. Smells interesting at least." He sipped the hot chocolate...and found he actually liked the taste, rather unexpectedly. Perhaps it was the spices.

And it was very, very warm.

Rogue took a sip as well, rolling the flavors over her tongue. It was nice, rich hot chocolate. And the spices... "Not bad," she said, turning to give Loki a look that was quickly shaded with appreciation. She smiled and repeated, "Not bad at all."

Loki took a second sip of his hot chocolate--yes, he liked it that much. Then he leaned forward to kiss Rogue and steal a taste of hers from her lips. A long, hot taste.

"I could learn to like it," he commented.

And was she ever game for helping him with that process. She lifted a hand to his shoulder and slid it slowly down his arm to claim his hand. "Why don't we go find someplace private we can enjoy it."

"Yes, let's." The only reason he readily agreed to seeking out something private, exhibitionist at heart as he was, was that outside might be a bit too cold for the removal of clothing. Which he had a mind to do. Preferably with his teeth. "But make it close, or I might feel the need to be creative."

Oh, tempting. Creative was... very tempting. Rogue took another sip of her hot chocolate as a distraction and found it did not help at all.

"I thought I saw some cabins towards the woods. We could try makin' like Goldilocks." Her fingers moved to entwine with his. She was having a very hard time not doing more than that.

"I don't know who that is, but I hope it involves having sex against a tree," he murmured. Only her hand on his kept him from trying to grab her bottom, since his other hands was occupied with the cup of chocolate. He took a large, hasty sip. Beret to drink it all down quickly so he would have a hand free.

Rogue had always found Loki's voice appealing, but she'd rarely had this sort of response to it. Hearing the way he said those words in particular made her want to... well. Yes. She just hoped that she made it to the cabins.

She took a sip of her hot chocolate to wet her suddenly dry throat and didn't think anything of why she suddenly wanted her lover so much. "Who knows? We never do get what happens after the end."

She started pulling on his hand, walking a little bit faster, "But it does involve tryin' out other people's beds."

"Oh and here I was hoping it was a happy ending," he said, laughing.

He lengthened his stride, picking up the pace effortlessly. "That sounds naughty. I like it."

"Oh sure," Rogue murmured. "Happily ever after."

This was taking too long. She took another sip, just for something to do that didn't involve kissing him, and as soon as the liquid touched her tongue Rogue knew that she was barking up the wrong tree. She quickly drained the cup, not even tasting it or minding how it scorched her tongue, and then discarded it. She stopped walking, turned to press her body against Loki's, and leaned up to give him a searing kiss.

"Catch me," she said, pulling away far from satisfied. Dropping his hand, she took off running for the nearest cabin.
