Then I'm very happy to hear it! Maybe you would like to try some dancing now? It's a lot of fun dancing with someone else. It'll make the entertainment more than enough!

[Maybe he's changed his mind after what they've talked about! That's what Erica is hoping for anyway.]

[if he wasn't exasperated before (although that's unlikely), it's becoming more apparent that he is, now]

I already told you I don't dance.

You did, I remember you saying so! I thought maybe you might have wanted to give it a go now. [But clearly that isn't the case. Hmm.] How about a game instead? Games are always fun, if they weren't then they wouldn't be games!

[Levi is now sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose. Is this a migraine coming on? possibly. He can't be sure yet.]

Look. I don't dance, and I don't like games, all right? There's probably some other poor sap around here who would be happy to do these things with you.

But Mister Levi, you're the sap I want to do these things with now.

[She's not trying to be insulting! It's just that she isn't really sure what kind of person a sap is, but if there are other poor saps around then that means Levi is a sap himself, doesn't it? Ah, words.]

That way the two of us can be poor saps together!

[the sudden tightening in his jaw is his teeth clenching together as he prays. for. patience.]

Wouldn't you rather do those things with someone who actually wants to do them?

[as in: not him.]

[Let her think about this for a moment- Nah.]

I would love to dance and play games with everyone that I can. But uhm, if those aren't to your tastes then.... [Hmm. Tastes? Tastes!] Ah, are you hungry at all? Perhaps I could get you something to eat.

[This is it, her last ditch effort to try and do something festival related.]

[maybe if he agrees to do one thing she'll finally let him be. Maybe. He doubts it. Still.]

What did you have in mind?

[Levi's not particularly hungry though.]

There's plenty of delicious food around, isn't there? Perhaps we could share some fruit together, then we could dip it in one of those fountains full of chocolate!

[She's never had the chance to use a chocolate fountain before, but it certainly looks like it would be fun to give it a go! What else...]

I've seen some hot dogs and sandwiches on offer if you don't enjoy sweets, but I'm sure you do. [... Yeah. Levi looks like he has a sweet tooth to her.] Or we could get something to drink! There's so much choice it's hard to pick just one thing to try.

I don't have much taste for sweet things.

[sweeteners were in short supply within the walls, and especially of short supply in the Survey Corps. Of the handful of things he's tried, everything has been too cloying for someone used to bland or stale food.]

Try to pick only one thing.

[He probably should have just kept telling her no.]

I will do! Please wait here, I'll be back as quick as I can.

[Off she goes to look around the stalls, deciding on getting some hot dogs for the two of them... And then walking over to another stall to pick up something else. And another. Another. In all she manages to visit six different places before she very carefully starts walking back over to Levi with her arms full of all sorts of food and treats.]

[he waits. and waits. And is about to leave when he sees her again, and he lets out a long breath through his nose. He should have figured.]

What didn't you understand about one?

I did understand, I heard you loud and clear Mister Levi! It was very hard, but I managed to pick only one thing from each stall.

[She had to narrow her choices down by a lot okay, even with visiting multiple stalls.]

How about for starters you try a hot dog? Here, they're in my left hand if you would like to take one.

[While she would love to hand him a hot dog... Her hands are a little full and she wouldn't want to drop any of the food she brought over.]

[it's like talking to one of luceti's animals: more trouble than it's worth.

He eyes the hot dog suspiciously - he's suspicious about a lot of food here, but it looks a bit like a sausage, which is somewhat recognizable. Perhaps that won't be terrible to try.

With a sigh he takes it and mumbles a thanks.

He takes a bite. It's okay, as meat goes. He's had worse.]

This is enough for me.

That's all? Mister Levi, please eat a little more. It won't do if that's all you're going to eat. You won't be able to properly enjoy the festival on an empty stomach.

[Erica tries to shuffle around some of the food she's holding, attempting to take a bite out of her own hot dog without dropping anything. Just as she's about to, a bottle of soda she picked up slips free and falls to the floor. Drat. She looks a little upset as she looks between the hot dog and bottle on the ground.]

I'm not that hungry.

[he doesn't take another bite yet, even, and especially when she drops the bottle he pauses a moment and just. picks it up for her.]

Eat yours and then you're taking this.

If you say so. Eating a full diet is still very important for a growing body though.

[She gives a nod of thanks to Levi as she digs into her hot dog, taking a large bite and sighing happily to herself.]

Delicious! They only had treats like this at the circus where I'm from.

I'm done growing, thanks.

[as hard as it may be for some people to believe, he's not going to get any taller. So he'll just. Finish eating the hot dog and hand over the bottle when she's ready.]

You don't know that, you might get out of bed one day to find you've had a growth spurt!

[He's already got a few inches over Erica already, but it wouldn't hurt to get a little taller. You could clean harder to reach places with ease! And pick things off of high shelves for other people who can't reach themselves!

Hot dog finished, Erica shifts her food items around so she can take the bottle back.]
