It is. Though if I must be honest this experience is not what I had expected.

Usually, they mess with our memories or give us weird powers, or change how we look...

We're not expected to simply accept these are we? I don't approve of them at all.

Of course not. I don't think anyone here "accepts" them. [At least, he sure hopes not.]

I certainly hope not. But perhaps I might be correct in that people simply have learned to live with it?

Yeah, that's a good way to look at it. It's just... a part of life here at this point, and until we figure out how to stop them, there's not much we can do but live with it.

I suppose that there isn't much that we could do at this point. Perhaps we should just enjoy ourselves to the fullest instead?

A princess... [Unlike the typical person who would be shocked to be in the presence of a princess, Asbel's unfazed.]

I never thought I'd meet someone else here like Richard and I.

So you are also of royalty?

Yeah. Richard's the King of Windor, and I'm the Lord of Lhant, a territory in Windor. [Normally he doesn't feel so inclined to share about his status to someone he's first met, but with Natalia, he just feels... comfortable.]

I see. So your last name is also your family name.

[ It's not as out there as Natalia's; definitely more subtle than anything. ]

Is being of royalty something you enjoy or is it exhausting. If you do not mind my asking.

[ Really she never really got the chance to speak to other royals. Especially not ones from Kimlasca. ]

It's a job that I wasn't too keen on taking on growing up. I actually kind of hated the idea of having my future decided for me like that.

I think most go through that idea when they are younger. After all, being faced with such a future is not an easy thing to get over. Do you still feel like that today?

...No, I don't. It's a difficult job, but... it's something I've grown to accept. I'm the only one who can do it, after all.

Yes. Although we've just met I feel that you will do a splendid job if you have no already done so already.
