Slow but steady, here is the second log for the event. As before, feel free to have your characters post their own entries if you'd rather do that. Here is the first log as well.

[The salute is returned in kind, right hand in a tight fist on her heart, left hand firmly at her back. Standing in the room now, Ginia doesn't recognize him anymore than she did up from the observation deck. But between running into kids and people that are in the Military Police that shouldn't be, a lot can be chalked up to the strangeness of Luceti.

She'll be the first to break the salute, pulling a small notepad and a pen from her pocket. The sheer availability of paper and modern writing utensils, she'll never cease to wonder and be grateful.

Ginia writes out a quick message and steps forward to hold it up for Jade to read.]

[Jade watches her carefully, breaking his own salute after she withdraws the notepad. He leans forward to give it a good glance. It's clear that she must be mute in some fashion. Not being offered a pen is enough to convince him that she is not deaf as well, so he takes a step back and speaks clearly.]

Captain Jade Curtiss of the Survey Corps. And you would be...?

[Ginia's brow furrows slightly. She doesn't recognize his name in the slightest. Perhaps he served under a different Commander in a different time?]

Squad Leader Ginia Solana, serving Commander Erwin Smith of the Survey Corps.

[Her position cements it; he should know her. He gives her an uncertain glance.]

Well, Ginia. It would seem that we both share a commander. Of course, this isn't quite the manner in which squad leaders are to meet... [He treats it in a casual fashion, because how else should he address all of these impossibilities?]

[No, this is definitely not the manner in which squad leaders should meet, especially if they both serve Erwin. And she's known Erwin since they were both trainees, Mike and Hange too.

It's possible he could have replaced her after her death, but wouldn't she recognize him? A conundrum or the strangeness of Luceti. But no matter.]

Mind if I program in a 3DMG and join you?

[At the least, it'll a good way for her to gauge his skills up close and vice-versa.]

[Jade gives a cheery smile.]

[And he'll step out of the room so that simulation can be properly adjusted. Of course, it helps that he knows that anything simulated in here can't be used for foul play.]

[It doesn't take Ginia long to add in another 3D Maneuver Gear. A simple addition that's waiting on the ground when they return to the room. She gears up quickly, feeling the familiar weight on her hips, the way the handles fit perfectly in her hands. The technology is amazing, almost frightful, but it'll do.]
