Slow but steady, here is the second log for the event. As before, feel free to have your characters post their own entries if you'd rather do that. Here is the first log as well.

[Colour him surprised; that's not a voice he'd expected to hear in this place. Mind, he's relieved about it anyway. He just about falls out of the sky, and it takes a real pause for thought to avoid shouting out anything but the blond's codename in return.]

Hulkling! You're here too?

[Oh god. Oh god, it's The Hot Guy (TM). How's he supposed to handle this gracefully without Nate and Eli around to act as buffers?]

[Seeing Billy stumble in midair makes Teddy hold his arms out briefly, ready to catch him until he rights himself. The instinctive reaction, however, makes the shift waver, peach skin showing like a ripple of water along his body before the green quickly replaces it once more.]

Yeah. Looks like we got dumped here together. [He glances at the houses, and - he got a basic rundown of the place already, that New York is nowhere close to this place and he's apparently been here before, but.] You think Kang got the jump on us and threw us in the past?

[Billy's eyes wander to the shifting skin briefly until it turns back, and he focuses back on Teddy. It's something of a relief to know that he's not the only one having issues with his powers right now.]

Not sure. I mean, I guess it could happen, but what would be the point? Why not just kill us and save himself the trouble?

... To laugh at us? [They are kind of still not ready at all for this super hero thing, after all.] I haven't seen Iron Lad or Patriot around, but it's only been a few hours... They could be somewhere else. [Or back in the New York. The future. Wherever they are.]

[Billy grimaces. It's not like he's giving up, but he's also not holding his breath for finding them any time soon.]

I won't be much help with that. I tried to pull off a locating spell and all I found was a headache.

... You okay now? [Not that Teddy knows anything about headaches, other than the fact that they're not pleasant. But if Billy's powers aren't working right here too...]

[Billy shrugs at that. The headache had been uncomfortable but brief, and he'd rather not get the guy with the healing factor worrying about him. He was already kind of... touchy, sometimes. Which didn't help his self control any.]

It's fine. I think it was just a rebound because they're not here. Not yet, anyway.

[He exhales quietly, gaze averted.]

That, or I did it wrong.

[Which is more likely.]

Hey, don't think like that. [He sets his hand on Billy's shoulder - well, more like his shoulder and a part of his upper arm, seeing how large he is as Hulkling.] You've been making a ton of progress since you first started out. You know how impressive that is, right?

[And, though he's a bit reluctant to do so, he pulls his hand back to his side.] Besides, I've been having problems with my powers, too. We're kind of in the same boat right now.

[...There it is again. The... touching thing. Billy does his best to conceal his discomfort, because he's really not used to being touched in non-violent ways by big handsome jock types like Teddy. Even if the guy is basically becoming his best friend at this point.]

In more ways than one.

[Keep it cool, Kaplan, just keep it cool.]

Maybe we should bring out the civvies and tackle this from a different angle.

[Oh, thank god. His Hulkling form was becoming something of a chore to keep up.]

Good idea - um. Should we, like... find a phone booth or something? No one here knows who we are - Not really, it's weird, but...

Uh... let's just go to the shop. I don't actually have any real clothes with me right now.

[He's a bit sheepish about it, but it's pretty much the main reason he's flying around in costume right now. Besides being the safer option, it's also kind of his only option.]

No zapping clothes for you?

[Nevertheless, Teddy leads the way; he assumed as much anyway, what with Billy still new at this and being in some... place that dampens powers. Which, speaking of which, is making his skin ripple again, and he has to cover his jaw as it shifts slightly. No, no, not that shift...]

I wish.

[Billy tucks his staff under his arm, picking up the pace to walk alongside Teddy. He notices the shifting, but does his best not to stare at it; it's still so weird, seeing skin move like that, and he's gotten the impression that Teddy doesn't like when people watch. A bit, anyway. The blond's always been hard to read.]

I'm not sure if I'd trust my magic to do that even back home, but here, with the spells acting up? I'd probably look ridiculous, and that's if I managed to magic up any clothes at all.

[And how mortifying would that be, if he ended up naked in front of the guy he had the biggest, most pathetic crush on in history?]

[Whereas Teddy would feel like the luckiest guy in the world if Billy Kaplan was suddenly naked right in front of him, eh heh.

The brief little thought - magic up any clothes at all, god - makes him have to cover his cheeks, too. It's harder to control blushes when his power is halved like this, and he's just glad that his darker skin is hiding it for the most part. For now, anyway.]

I don't know, maybe you could... you know. [Think, Altman, be cool in front of your crush. Don't be flustered.] Poof your underwear outside your pants. Flying out of the phone booth would be legit, then. [Nailed it. ... Except that was probably dumb, ugh.]

[Lucky for Teddy, Billy's a total nerd, so he laughs at that, one hand lifting to cover his lips. How can such a jock-looking guy be a total nerd like him? It's too perfect, gah.]

Sorry, I'm just not buff enough to manage the Superman look. Or dark enough to be Batman. Jeans sound way more comfortable right now.

[Even if the thought of peeling out of the spandex bodysuit sounds like an absurd amount of work right now.]
