This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

[Yu had to stop and watch this person for a moment; he hadn't exactly seen Jade from behind before, and during the fighting he had been keeping as far back from the center of it all as he could, letting his Personae do the fighting. Only when he was sure this was the same person he had spoken with over the journals did he approach, giving him a faint nod.]

Colonel.

[He's still keeping himself pretty damn calm, at first glance at least. He has to keep his hands clenched at his sides to keep himself from shaking still.]

[Yu paused a moment, glancing around.]

...is everyone back?

[Ah, Yu. That curious young man. Jade had observed him when he could during the battle, and he indeed realized that this wasn't an ordinary civilian as he appeared. He gives a slight glance in Yu's direction as he speaks.]

Yes. [A soft adjustment to hi glasses.] I completed my headcount, and there are no absences whatsoever.

[Yu let out a faint breath at that, visibly easing back. That was good to hear; no one needed to be stuck in that... whatever that was he saw when he died. This world's version of Yomi, perhaps? He didn't really want to think about it.]

Good. What happens now?

We regroup. [He gives a slight smirk at that.] We have our objective. There are three days to find that bomb and stop it from detonating. We have to save ourselves from a certain death.

[Yu gave a nod; yeah, that made sense. The Malnosso were not going to let them go unless they finished their objective, and there was no way he was going to let himself die again.]

[It was that thought that let him feel a little more like himself, and he was finally able to let his hands relax. He could be haunted by what happened later; right now they had a job to do.]

Where do you need me?

[The young man seems very calm and level-headed despite what had happened. He be good material for the front lines. But there still was the question of his abilities. Jade has to clarify exactly what he witnessed earlier.]

I'm not quite sure yet. Would you mind describing your abilities to me? Aim to be concise.

[Yu wasn't the type to waste words in the first place, but he wasn't about to hold back on what he could do. Not after that.]

[His response is immediate and to the point.]

I can summon a number of creatures called Persona. Most of them use spells, and the ones I have access to at the moment have lightning and fire spells available. Izanagi -- you may have seen before -- is my only physical fighter while Kohryu -- a dragon -- is also capable of healing.

It doesn't take much for me to control them, but if they're injured, it hurts me as well. I can only have one active at a time, and it takes a few seconds to switch.

I see. I believe that I've seen your friend Izanagi in action earlier. These details are all very helpful. Am I correct in assuming that beyond this summoning ability, you are more or less a normal human being? [In other words, how squishy are you. It would be a liability to keep him in the front lines if an enemy can get to him while he's controlling these Personas.]

Yeah.

[He was pretty tough after getting beat up so much in the TV, but in the end, a sword went trough him just as easily as any other human.]

I haven't fought with a weapon myself, but I can pick up on things quickly.

Is that so? As helpful as that could be, I don't believe that we have weapons to spare currently. I'll recommend that you find a scouting group and move close to the middle. Your so-called Persona seems more suitable for the front lines.

That's fine. If I need to, I'll pick one up from an enemy.

[The nice thing about fighting these guys versus Shadows: not everything on them disappeared as soon as they were defeated. He could work that to his advantage.]

Yes, that could work well enough. [He thinks it might be too morbid to mention the possibility of also picking things up from fallen comrades.] As long as you're mindful of your strength and limitations, you should perform sufficiently. [He seems to be a very logical-minded boy, so Jade doesn't mind going into full-on soldier mode in instructing him.]

[Just because it went unsaid, didn't mean Yu wasn't aware it was an option. He really did not want to think about that though...]

[He gave a nod.]
