This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Please note that there is a specific top-level comment thread for:

• The day 3 arrival of the draftees and the 6 hours that follow until the bomb is dropped

[Part of her, one that floats to the surface and immediately sinks again, wasn't asking him, it asked the presence outside of their reach, the one with knives like silver fire-

No longer grasping at faded grass and dirt, Mia's free hand half-fists over her chest, nails digging against the fabric of her uniform. Stop! but she doesn't know what she's talking to inside her head like this.

She sees a face in her mind first, a worried face, leaning over a different friend of hers, someone important. Forcing her eyes open again, she looks to the side. Loki. It's all she can do just to look at him, and no words follow yet.]

[With real thoughts come a much greater awareness of her surroundings - others, waking (?) in as terrible a state as she, if not worse - and of the complexities of the person holding onto her hand. How she feels, about him, and how she feels, about the prospect of continued consciousness.]

I might faint. [Still faded, her voice is stronger nonetheless, describing something she understands as fact rather than trying to find anything. There is a measurable likelihood of Mia-passing-out and...and it's comforting to think so. To warn someone.]

[Lucky for them both, she doesn't faint, although she certainly sways enough to fool anyone else. She's trying to calm herself through breathing. It isn't working very well.

And maybe she does go out again, just for a few seconds. Long enough to release some of the tension that made her faint in the first place.]
