This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

[Wan is going to fall on his backside between his own momentum and trying not to hit her.

He's not going to stop her from ripping out the cultist's throat, if only because he's not expecting her to. Take away his sword? Sure. Maybe beat the guy up with her mysterious water power. Turn him into a blood fountain? Not something that would cross his mind to even do.]

[The best way to end a threat is to put it down for good. It may just be one cultists in all of the madness around her, but one less was still better. There is nothing clean about the way she sinks her claws into the neck and pulls her strong arm back. The blood sprays quickly as she pushes the dying man away from her.

She's never killed much for the sake of killing. Usually it was only for food, but it wasn't a complete unknown to her as she ignores the man slowly dying on the ground to turn back to Wan. Needing to see if he really was a threat or not. If he wasn't then she just wasted some water on him which was annoying. It was her life blood until she found someplace new to replenish her strength and who knew where that would be? If he was a threat she needed to be ready.

So she stands. One arm covered in blood, growling softly at Wan. Waiting to see what his next move might be. There was too much blood and grim mixed in the air to get a proper smell from him.] Are you from Luceti?

[The sight of blood made Wan's heart drop. He would have yelled at her to stop, that she didn't have to kill him. Not like that. but it was so fast. Even in the darkness he could hear him fall. He could hear the wet gurgling sounds of death. He should thank her but-]

You didn't have to do that!

[Wan wasn't a killer. The carnage of battle left him shaken and horrified.]

[That throws her off for a moment. Not an answer to her question at all! Yet, he has the small wings and isn't trying to attack her. Xzana settles for assuming he is from Luceti, but doesn't let her guard down just in case it's a trick.]

If you did not wish for help; then you should have finished with him quicker. I need not help you again? [Because she will not waste time with someone who is trying to show off in the middle of battle this hectic. Her point may be made soon as a foot solider and Shifter bear down at them. Not knowing how to tell the two apart (and even if she could) and unaware of what power the Shifters hold; Xzana has her sights set on the foot solider.

Is Wan sure he wants to tell her to be gentle with that Shifter around?]

[Wan threw fire at the soldiers before they got any closer-
Or, he would have if the shifter wasn't around.

But in an instant the fire he used to protect himself was gone. What was worse was without it's light he couldn't even see in the darkness. The most he could do in hand to hand combat was to try and avoid getting hit.]

[Needing to save her water; Xzana lunges for the foot solider. Claws banging against his shield as she had expected to over power him. Only her super human strength was suddenly gone. True, she still had her fangs and claws, but the sudden evaporation of her powers and strength completely blind sides her. Seizing the moment of her stupor the foot solider tosses her back and her feet slide in the mud as she's thrown back.

What was that about not being able to see very well Wan? Are you sure you can't see that girl who is trying to imitate the way the two of them first met. Arm pinwheeling and wings beating as she tries to stop herself from falling over without much luck.]

[Oh yeah, Wan see's her coming. Only he see's her coming a little too late to get out of her way. In that moment he held out his arms and braced himself with more grounded footing. Wan will try and "catch" Xzana despite being smaller if only to keep both of them from falling down into a vulnerable heap.

He slid back from her weight, but it was her flailing around that threatened to throw him off balance. Given her giant wings that prevented grabbing her arm or shoulder, the best he could do was push between them.]

[The pressure on her back keeps the woman upright. Once her balance is back she wastes no time with thanking Wan for his help before launching herself once more at the foot solider.

She flaps her wings and makes horrible roaring noises at him in an attempt to startle and get him to drop his guard. It fails horribly. She dances around as the man takes a swing at her with his sword.

She jumps back planning on transforming and... nothing happens. She snarls her annoyance. What has happened to her? Was it this land? Explained why the guy wasn't helping her out with his fire.

Careful Wan. While she's busy getting ready to take another rush at the foot solider that shifter hasn't forgotten about you.]

[Wan has more experience with not getting caught than he does for actual hand to hand combat. The creepy glow of the shifter's eyes works to his advantage. He can tell where the shifter is through his light, the same way shifters could tell where he was with his fire.

In the chaos he is looking for something to use to his advantage. It doesn't take very long to find it. The shifter thrust an old spear at him. A weapon he actually has experience dealing with.

Wan is deceptively strong for his size. Grabbing the wooden pole of the spear, he used his own strength, the slippery ground, as well as the shifter's own weight and momentum to throw him right into the other foot soldier.]

[Xzana had taken wing to try to get up and over the foot soldier, but it wasn't much good. That shield was causing her a lot of problems. So when her target was suddenly taken out by another man flying into him she's taken by surprise.

Wow! That young boy was good for something! Only she doesn't stop to tell him this. Instead she is reaching forward to shove the men down to the ground. Intending to finis them off before they can stand upright again.

Unless, Wan has a complaint when she reaches for the shifter's neck once more.]

he's Wan not Vash the Stampede

[Wan doesn't like it when things die in general, and he really doesn't like the "rip out their throat" method of killing enemies. So yes, he does have his complaints.]

Don't!

[He won't be able to physically stop her though.]

Vash would LIKE him to be! Little Vash the Stampede he could be called!

[Without physically stopping her the word goes unheeded. Her claws digs into the flesh and the shifter will die. Wan will feel his power come back to him as the foot solider knocks his dying companion off of him. Knocking the dragon off of him before she can end his life.]

He has the ridiculous hair for it

[Wan puts it to use immediately by throwing a fireball at the foot soldier. The sudden rush of power would be enjoyable if the situation wasn't so horrible.

The fire isn't enough to kill the soldier, but it was enough to push him back. He quickly throws another to try and push him back further. He wanted the soldier to back off. If not retreat than at least enough for them to escape.]

[Xzana jumps back from the fire. It doesn't worry her, but it absolutely confuses her. She thought the fire user was fighting against these men with her. She turns toward the traitor and lets out a howl of vicious anger. Now she isn't sure who she should fight. The foot solider in the same position. Let the crazed dragon attack the boy with fire before taking her out or take care of the one shooting fire at him.] Be more careful with your magic.

[It's the only warning she'll give Wan. If he attacks her again she won't allow herself to think it was a mistake as she launches herself at the foot solider once again. Only she had her strength back at this point. This time when she throws herself against him he fall down to one knee.

The cultists tries to swing his blade around his shield and get the mass of girl off of him, but it is a difficult target.]

I'm trying to help you!

[So please stop threatening to hurt him?

But this was bad. Very bad. Do nothing and the crazy dragon girl will get hurt. Do something and the crazy dragon girl will think he's trying to attack her again.

Even if it was a tricky situation, it was a no-brainer for him. Wan will help just about anyone and anything even if it puts his own life at risk. He needed to distract the cultist from hitting her. He ran, this time approaching the cultist from behind. Mud wasn't going to work, rocks weren't going to work. But fire will work. Blasting a fireball at his back.]

[Help? She doesn't need help for this. Still, maybe it was just an attempt at helping so she at least stops growling. Going back to focus on the foot solider instead. She catches on eventually to what Wan is trying to do so she makes sure that man's attention if fully on her. Biting and clawing at his shield she backs him up slowly towards Wan so when the boy sneaks around the man's back is completely exposed.

A fireball to the back hurts. He falls screaming and Xzana rips his shield from his arm so violently that if the sounds of fighting all around them wasn't do deafening they might have heard a pop. He won't be using that arm anytime too soon again.

More so because Xzana is only being slowed down tossing that shield away. As soon as she's done with that she plans on putting this man out of his misery for good.

Unless Wan has an objection?]

[Wan wanted to keep this guy from fighting, but he's not used to hurting people like that. Even people he really doesn't like. At the end of the day cultists are still people to him. Even if they are terrifying and want him to die.

Feel free to kill the soldier while the reality that in order to stay alive he is going to have to do some serious damage sinks in. Because even though he is more pragmatic than other pacifists: hurting and killing others with his own two hands is not something he never wanted to do.]

[If there is one thing Wan should at least be thankful for is that while she is not at all gentle or kind with the cultist. She has at least been taught to put those who would fight her or her pray down quickly. That there was no need to prolong the death that would follow.

The shield is tossed to the side. Once more she aims for the neck. Unsure where the heart was located on a human it was the guaranteed kill. This time there is so much pent up anger and energy behind her jab that her claw sink through the man's neck and into the ground.

His struggles stop as she rips her hand back out and ready for the next onslaught of fighters. She shoots a quick look at her partner to be sure he isn't about to blast her with fire by mistake yet again.]

[No, he was done fighting her. He was done fighting everyone. He was angry and horrified. Wan released a massive fireball in their direction. It would only kill them if they were foolish enough to charge into it. He wanted to push them back, give them second thoughts about trying to take them on. Keep them away from the dragon lady who has a penchant for ripping out people's throats.]

[Xzana follows up his fire attack with a mighty roar to try to deter the cultists from charging and attacking them. She would much rather not fight them all as she knows eventually she'll tire.

Too bad the cultists aren't about to be stopped by fire and some scary sounds. Once the fire dissipates slightly they come charging for the two. With a snarl the girl goes charging in.

Only with this many combatants she's decided to change her fighting style up slightly. As she rushes forward her body starts stretching. Her scales growing and spreading across her body as her eyes change color.]

[It's a fast transformation and over in less than a minute. Now instead of a long limb girl to deal with the third party now has a large, angry dragon to deal with. She snaps at them with her long neck and fangs. Grabbing and tossing away any who she manages to catch. Swinging her tail back and forth to knock down the others she's not fast enough to catch.]

and now it's time for OH MY GOD IT'S A DRAGON!

[Wan never questioned that the girl was human. He has a liberal definition of human that allows for a wide variety of bizarre deformities. It comes with the territory of living with someone who was half-tree.

He stumbled back at her transformation. Perhaps if she wasn't currently tearing into enemies he would think she's really pretty.]

I didn't forget!

[Hey! She's beautiful! Okay, at the moment she's covered in blood and gore from the cultists she just mowed down, but red and blue are great colors together! She pauses when the numbers thin to look back to see how Wan was doing and catch her breath.]

[He's doing about as well as you would expect for a teenager suddenly plunged into a battlefield and had a girl he just saw rip out a bunch of dudes throats turn into a dragon and get covered in even more gore.

You know, not very well at all.

But don't worry, if anyone comes charging at him he still has the presence of mind to firebend in their general direction. Even if Xzana is completely beautiful and terrifying at the same time.]

[It's good that through all this that Wan has managed to keep his composure enough to defend as after she checks back on Wan and turns back to her fight a Third Party member has managed to take to the sky and land on her back. A little help?]
