No, that's a lie. We're holding ground, which is nearly the same as losing. Whichever general is in charge of this mess is an idiot and I'd like to have his ears to decorate my mantlepiece.

I think whoever's in charge of this is doing all they can to keep people alive. We were called in because they were supposed to have more people, right? Something's gone seriously wrong.

[Not that he's on the side of the Malnosso here, he just has a little more sympathy for the soldiers who apparently have to put up with this horribleness for a living. No wonder they seem to hold such contempt for the enclosure residents.]
