This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Please note that there is a specific top-level comment thread for:

• The day 3 arrival of the draftees and the 6 hours that follow until the bomb is dropped

[Laura's claw slipped away with a single 'snikt' as Rogue approached, and the tears along her arm had healed by the time the other got to her.]

You are alive.

[A simple confirmation. So this had happened to everyone.]

So're you.

[And with this, her last teammate found, Rogue simply moves to hunker down on the wall beside Laura, perhaps a little less than arm's length away. She leans against the wall and sighs, willing to just breathe and share the silence for a moment.]

[girlverine]

[It's an easy silence, in a sense. Laura is better at silences than talking. And yet, in the absence of the pain on her arm, she feels suddenly restless. Not necessarily to leave, but she can't vent and...]

Have you ever died before?

[A blunt, abrupt question perhaps. But she knew death was somewhat more trivial in Luceti.]

[touchofrogue]

[Rogue finds blunt, abrupt questions comfortable. At least they're honest.]

Not like this. [She extends a gloved hand.] Touched someone once, who had, not too long ago. That wasn't like this either.

[girlverine]

It was...not what I had expected.

[Laura expected nothing. Silence and eternity. Or perhaps some sort of punishment for all the wrongs she had done. Nothing certainly sounded easier.]

[touchofrogue]

No. [She shudders.] No, I reckon not.

[After a pause, she offers.]

I don't think that was exactly a normal death - even by this world's standards.
