This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

I can understand that. It is always difficult getting over that first love. They tend to leave a mark no matter who or what they are.

If he ain't careful, goin' to end up leavin' marks more on others than himself. Swear the boy is fire proof, or he would had barbecued himself years ago.

Ya mind me askin', ya seem rather at ease considerin' everythin'. Ya been through a draft before?

Oh me? No, I have just seen many battlefields over the course of my life. My world had a long standing war that I was born during, and took quite an active part in.

[He let out a whistle.] That be quite a world to be born into, thought be bad 'nough bein' in one headin' that way. [Ah, good old Earth in his universe. After all this, a mutant/human war didn't seem that bad, depending on what side you were on. Or where Remy could hold up until it was over.]

Ideas and beliefs often come into conflict with one another. I wondered for a time if it wasn't inevitable for people to turn to war. Thankfully our war ended not too long ago, but it seems as if the peace has stayed for the most part.

[He smiles at that, it was hard won, but it had been achieved]

Yes, a sad cycle. I think that we all desire peace though.

'ny suggestions how to get through this merde then? [Remy asked as he finished up his cup.] Or just keep ya head down?

Well, as a strategy ducking is unreliable, but for a moment or two it can be quite reassuring.

Make sure to stay with a group in skirmish formation, and ensure you are covering one another. It is unfortunate that as a group we have had little training together, as discipline is what can win a battle more surely then individual skill or power. Especially with shifters around.

Rather have me a group of unfamiliar but competent fighters than the pick mix we got here. Who the hell thought it be okay to draft kids into this mess?

[Remy drew out his pack of cigarettes, taking one before it vanished inside his coat again. Placing it between his lips, he lit it with a flick of his powers.] Turn them into goddamn cannon fodder.

The Malnosso aren't well known for their wise decisions particularly. It is unfortunately a tactic that is used in war sometimes, to use those who are inexperienced and easy targets as bait in order to draw the enemy out.

Least we get a do over with death, [It wasn't ideal, but it was a semi comforting backup.] That's... something, I guess.

Why be nice to be a grunt on the front line some times, don't have to make those types of decisions. Just do 'nough to survive, gettin' the goal done be a bonus.
