This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Please note that there is a specific top-level comment thread for:

[Kurt is rolling through - it's so weird and different, and he wonders if this is what it feels like for the passengers of his own teleportation. He tries to be alert in checking the windows himself.]

I suppose I could be-- Rosalind once said that my ability stems more from what I'm not than what I am. If that makes sense. It took me a minute to parse too.

[Windows on her side checked, Elizabeth lays flat on the floor of the car. Just in case a cultist decided it was a brilliant idea to attack a moving vehicle.] I could be 'not human', but I try not to think too hard about it. Hell-- I try not to do this at all, but we're in the middle of a warzone!

I'm not sure what it means, either, but in my book, even if you're not exactly human? You're still a person! [And Kurt follows her example, scrambling to lay nearby on the floor.] But you're right... this might not be the time or place for that!

Believe me, I'm sure I'll have to answer tons of questions when we get back. Talking about it later isn't going to be a problem! [If they made it through this, at least. Elizabeth sighs and blows a stray bang out of her face, then flashes a quick smile at Kurt.] But thanks for that. Not many people take seeing this... ability, very well.

[He laughs softly and returns a fond smile.]

Don't worry about it. I'm the last person you'd have to worry about that kind of thing from! Our powers are't too different, after all. Yours are just more... portal-y!

[Elizabeth laughs too, short and exhausted.] Portal-y is a word for it. Though a couple of times, I would have given just about anything to be able to teleport. Or to at least have some better control over it.

Control, huh...? Maybe when things are back to normal, I can try to help you with that. Our powers might not be the same, but who knows? Maybe some of it will translate.

[Elizabeth nods, rubs her face and tries to take a deep breath.] Normally when I'm in Luceti, I can't do any of this. [She waves a finger around the streetcar.] When I was in Columbia, in my tower, there was a machine that pulled my power out of me, prevented me from being able to use it to do bigger things. I think there's something similar in Luceti, but here... there's nothing.

I can see every door. Every possibility, every variable. Half the time... I don't even know if what I'm seeing is actually happening.

[He looks around as she talks, trying to take it in.]

Whoa. So you can't use it... at all? Now that'll be tough to work with...

But man. That sounds deep! [he rubs at his head as he tries to process what she's saying. It sounds like something out of a scifi show.] Is that like seeing... different futures?

And presents, and pasts. I can see possibilities, and while some people will wake up one Tuesday and always pick out a blue shirt, once they think about wearing a red one I can see that, too.

It's good that I can't see all of this in Luceti. It's too overwhelming here. I mean, if I try I can bring things into Luceti, but small things. Not... [She gives a wry laugh and knocks on the floor of the streetcar.] Nothing like this.

Whoa, that's... that blows my mind just thinking about it. [His eyes widen as he thinks about it.] It's like you got a bunch of powers all in one! We'll just have to be careful.

Kind of, I suppose. But it all depends on what I see, what I think of, what I can bring in.
