This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Please note that there is a specific top-level comment thread for:

Well I figure I pop on board, give a present to the old fuel tank, bail and rinse and repeat. Best part, even if there are some shifters aboard, the explosion will kill them, so I'll be up and at em' before you can sing the American anthem.

The only problem with that plan is if the Shifters manage to use their abilities on you beforehand. Your healing won't do you much good then.

[He thinks this is a bad plan. A very bad plan. But he can't just leave Deadpool behind to attempt it on his own. At least with his help, they might both make it out alive.]

Relax, Steve. If there is one thing in this big old universe that I excel at, it is blowing shit up, and otherwise ruining things in a thoroughly destructive manner. I might not be able to save the day, but I can sure as hell kill some evil ass hats and get rid of their toys.

How do you feel about catapults?

[Well, that's not a response he'd been expecting. He glances around as if he expects there to be a catapult sitting around in the open.]

And how would we manage that?

Got one set up on top of a building over there, hidden obviously. Hard to see with the stack of stiffs around it. You would not believe how inconsiderate these 3rd party cultists are about building things. I'm seriously thinking of taking them off my Christmas card list.

Also I mean, its like you don't know me. Of course I have stupid dangerous things set up. So what do you wanna shout as we are flying through the air? I was thinking Cowabunga, but Aaaaaaaaaah! is always a classic. Also expletives work pretty well too. I'm not shouting America, unless one of us is set on fire.

[His mouth opens as if to say something, but then he quickly shuts it. Squeezing the bridge of his nose between thumb and forefinger, he shakes his head.]

Show me the catapult. We can discuss the rest on the way. [Or Deadpool and discuss it while Steve pretends to listen.]

Alright, follow me Cap'n. The way I see it, it is an entirely stupid and suicidal attack, which no one in their right mind would attempt. Therefore, it will come completely by surprise. You'd be astonished at how many times a plan like this has worked for me.

Granted, they are pretty suicidal themselves, so it might be par for course, but YOLO.

[Steve is perfectly aware of just how insane and suicidal this plan is. However, lacking any other options, he's willing to go with it for the sake of moving things along. Their mission is too important to fail by shying away from danger.]

So...how sure are you that this will work?

Hey, we've both seen our fair share of crazy stuff and done some plans that should have no reason really to succeed. If it works, it works. Personally I'd prefer some anti-air guns, but since they don't seem to be kicking around, you got to go simpler. Don't worry about the odds, they are made to be broken. Just remember to tuck in the legs and roll when you land.

Don't worry, pal. You'll be fine, trust me on this.

[He gives a thumbs up. If it could be avoided Captain America would live through this. As for himself, well that didn't particularly matter in the scheme of things. Of course if it came down to it, he'd have to be the first one to push the other away. Captain America might try to be heroic, but ultimately he was a bigger asset to the battle, and humanity in general. Should push come to shove, Deadpool felt he could get him away, whether he wanted to or not]

I mean, the world has been in danger how many times? Ain't no thing but a chicken wing, yo.

[He doesn't look convinced. At all. But he realizes this is the best plan they have at the moment. Besides, he's no stranger to doing frankly suicidal things for the greater good.]
