This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

[Gai gives a slight nod by way of greeting, his expression one of practiced neutrality. If he's bothered by what just happened to them, he certainly isn't letting it show.]

Law told me about your abilities. He said you're capable of sending out scouts to find us a way into the city.

[Right to the point. There's no time to waste on such mundane matters as introductions and other social niceties right now.]

[Perona's in quite a similar mood as Law - grim, upset, and with very little room for nonsense. Right now is business only. With her arms crossed, she snaps her gaze to her fellow pirate, then back to the face of this stranger. Just how much of her ability did Law pass on? She's not a fan of divulging too much about herself and her skills to people she doesn't wholly trust, but if Law is the one requesting her aid for this individual... Well, the orders of her "Captain" are set in stone.]

That's correct, I have such an ability...though I'm don't know how much Mr. Law told you regarding it. What do you need them for? [Because they wouldn't be asking her specifically if they didn't need them for something.]

[The look Law gives her back says not very much. Only what they needed to know, which was the bare basics. No terrible amount of details, no compromising weaknesses - partially because Law himself does not know the exact parameters of her abilities (nor her his, as it should be), partially because he has too much respect for her to do otherwise.

Both of them jealously guarded the secrets of their powers for a good reason.]

I told him that you can see, hear, and speak from the Hollows you send out, and use them as a communication and surveillance network. The journals aren't working properly. They cut out after a quarter of a mile's distance from each other. [... it's easy to see where this is going now.] Which is a problem. We need to know what's lying ahead of us, and what everyone's doing and thinking of doing.

[Those sentiments are ones Gai understands quite well. He hasn't divulged the full extent of his own powers to anyone other than Elizabeth and Law, not that they would be all that useful here without any sign of others from his own world. Still, should the need come up, he'll share whatever information would be useful, and he expects them to do the same in return.

This is all business, and that is something that Gai is very familiar with.]

What Law said. We need to find a way into the city that won't be as heavily guarded as the main entrance. Forcing our way in through there would be suicide.

We need to be able to divide up into small groups and have a means of communications between those groups.

[That'snot a question, that is a statement and a fact. She hadn't been planning on relying on her journal to communicate at all during this draft - her network was always so much simpler and just came more naturally than hunkering down and pulling out a stupid book - so having such a request made like this isn't at all a problem. It's actually a boost to her ego that her powers are seen as useful enough to warrant such a request. It at least gets a small smirk out of her. What ability user isn't somewhat proud of their skills and how they utilize them, after all?

But they are right - having a reliable source of intelligence, surveillance, and communication like that is a key to success in this battle. And success is the only outcome of this battle she wants to follow.]

Each of my cute hollows is directly linked to me, that's right. What they experience in real time is what I learn through them...and what I can very simply pass along to others over a very wide range. This compound is nothing... If you want their and my assistance, then I can't say no, can I?
