This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

I'll make a note of that. [He pokes at his glasses.] In the interest of avoiding any repeat performances on that front... I assume you listened to John's message?

Yeah, I did. Guess we have him to thank for this, if 'thank' is even the right word.

[His eyes are icy as he surveys the field around them.]

We've got one chance to get this right. There's no room for mistakes or liabilities. Anyone who can't handle that needs to stay out of the way.

I certainly agree on that front. [He adds just a tinge of sarcasm as he overlooks the scattered forces.] It's a shame that we don't have any sort of safety bubble to contain them within.

However, I have taken the liberty of approaching as much of our people as possible to assess their mental conditions, so that those who seem mentally unsound can be kept away from the front lines.

Too bad that looks to be the majority of them. Our forces are in bad shape-- we'll be lucky if we can get even half of them to fight with their normal capabilities.

Unfortunately... And we can't know the full extent of how impaired many of them will be until they are actually on the battlefield. They'll have to be arranged very carefully.
