Who: OPEN to all!
What: Movies, movies, movies! And games and food too.
When: All day Saturday, June 7th (starts 11ish)
Where: Rec Center
Summary: Ginia throws a movie marathon at the rec center for entertainment and post-draft distractions.
Rating: PG-13 for some of the movies shown, but let's keep it around here or lower.

On Thursday, flyers were posted around the village with another notification of the movie marathon and the list of movies that will be shown:

The Sword in the Stone
Grease
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Moulin Rouge
The Princess Bride
Jurassic Park
Clue
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Come Saturday, the list can also be found outside the rec center. Inside the center, there are tables set up filled with food: fruit and veggie platters, cookies and cake from the bakery, sandwiches, packages of popcorn (with a microwave nearby), and an assortment of packaged candy. As food begins running low, runners will be sent to the stores to bring back more. There are also drinks - water, sodas, juices, tea, and coffee. Alcohol is bring your own, but Ginia also has a small table set aside with some gin, whisky, vodka, and mixers.

Besides what seating is already in the rec center, additional chairs, large cushions, and even two beanbag chairs have been brought in. For those who want to hang out but not watch movies, there's still pool, board games, and a few deck of cards.

Enjoy, relax, and try not to think about the draft.

/Have to ask; do you always wear the mask and gloves?/

[A simple question out of curiosity. It's not too unusual; Kakashi always wears a face mask so hey. Ginia sets up the table for standard eight-ball before grabbing her cue stick.]

Mostly out in public, but yeah for the most part.

[He has image issues and tends to go a bit more off the deep end then usual without something to cover himself up close at hand]

Sure, but I'll have you know, I shoot a mean stick. Not as good as Tasky mind you, but he cheats with his powers anyway.

/As long as you don't cheat or knock half the balls in with one shot, we're fine. I like a good challenge./

[He looks offended]

Moi? Cheat and get caught ? Hah! Besides, I got mad skillz yo, best watch yourself.

[And he lines up the shot and does a beautiful break, landing in a striped purple]

Looks like I'm stripes.

[He eyes the table]

Yellow, top corner.

[And in it goes]

Mmmmmmm.

[He paces around and proceeds to set himself up for a shot for the next time]

All yours, hun.

[Mad skillz, sure, sure. Until betting goes on, it's nothing more than a friendly game. Ginia watches the two balls go into the pocket and surveys the table for her own shot.]

/Blue, right middle pocket./

[Ginia paces over to the left side, lines up her shot, and sinks it.]

[Deadpool leans back and sort of spins the stick in his hand as he watches]

Roger roger. Not a problemo, I see what you are doing there. Ever wonder why you call pool pool? I mean its supposed to be called billiards, but most folks just know it as pool, and heck, that is what I always do anyway.

[He'll take a moment to chalk up as he blabs on]

Like there is no water at all involved in it at all, and you aren't exactly doing anything that could really equate to water, other than of course sinking the balls. I suppose that must be where it comes from, you have things floating, and you trying to sink them. Though, I'd say that seems a bit of stretch all things considered.

[Ginia surveys the table for her next shot or a counter shot, listening to Deadpool's blabbing. It's somewhat distracting, but having worked with a partner also prone to gabbing, it's easy to block out.]

/I always heard pool came from pool in the sense of pooling money. Billard tables were added to pooling or betting halls as a way for people to pass the time between races. Eventually the name stuck./

[She leans over the table to check a shot.]

/Five, corner pocket./

[She lines up her shot again and shoots, sinking the ball. The cue ball bounces off the wall and rolls over to stop by a striped ball toward the middle of the table. Hmm. Bad position to shoot from.]

[Well that would actually make some sense]

Huh, I guess that makes sense. Considering my name you'd think I'd have put that together, but ah well.

[He takes a look at the position, it was workable, but not particularly easy. Heh, double entendre]

/An interesting point. I always thought pool referred to pools of bodily fluids left by dead bodies. But accepting money to ensure someone's death works well./

[Ginia flashes a smile. Interesting how names work.]

/Was D-E-A-D-P-O-O-L a name you picked or did someone give it to you?/

Actually its a little bit different then that, but I won't get into it.

[This was supposed to make people less depressed right?]

More a name that sort of stuck around. Depends on who you ask, it was awhile ago.

/Fair enough. Certainly stands out./

[Not that Deadpool needs any help standing out. Ginia surveys the table again before sitting on the edge and leaning to shoot over her hip. It won't sink anything, but she nudges it a bit more toward the center of the table.]

Yep. Kind of my M-O really. Flashy is how I do.

[He takes the stick in one hand points to the corner and proceeds to spear the ball right into it]

Like a boss.

[He definitely has a smirk right now]

/Couldn't tell at all./

[Sarcasm doesn't carry well through signs, but Ginia gives a small roll of her eyes and a dry smile. She eases off the table, careful not to jostle the balls on the table.]

/Do you have just the one suit or do you have backups?/

I know, my middle name is Humble. Naw, just kidding ya. I have no idea what my middle name is, though if I had one it would probably be like Watson, or like Willow, something with a W.

[He does a casual behind the back shot to sink into a corner pocket]

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever told you my civilian name.

/You haven't, but I'm going to guess both first and last name start with a W./

[Comic book naming conventions and alliteration after all.]

[He shrugs]

Such is the medium. Wade Wilson.

[And he lines up another shot pointing to a far end, it would take a certain amount of angling to get it there, and was an unnecessarily difficult shot. Showing off at things he was actually good at sort of just came naturally though. He sinks the shot in, and leans on the table and rechalks the cue with a bit of a smirk]

Currently schooling you in pool.

[Wade Wilson. Not a bad name at all. Noted. His comment and showing off only earns a small scoff. He's welcome to show off all he wants, she's just treating it as a casual game. And if she lets herself get self-deprecating and analytic, getting one-upped in Luceti is something she's used to.]

/Should I stop playing and set up trick shots for you? I can do that too./

Up to you. If you were facing ol'Tasky then I would say most definitely.

[Stupid mimic ability copying the craziest pool moves in the world]

[Ginia has a hunch if "ol'Tasky" was around, she wouldn't have begun playing against him.]

/You know, I know when to cut my losses. Go ahead, finish off the table./

Yeah, he kind of cheats at skills though. Can mimic any physical skill. Doesn't stop me from kicking his ass though.

[Mostly because he doesn't follow a set pattern, and occasionally will just dance in battle]

[A necessary reference if ever there was one]

[Someone who can mimic any physical skill. It reminds Ginia of Kakashi's ability and she briefly entertains the idea of the two of them having a copy-off. That'd be interesting to see.

The reference makes Ginia smile slightly and huff softly. She waves her hand at the table. Go on, clear everything off.]

[Deadpool proceeds to do so, just sort of sinking balls in a casual manner]

Bullseye is decent at pool too, though darts is obviously the game where he is the undisputed master.

[Ginia stands out of the way and watches the balls go in one by one, flagging Deadpool down to get his attention when there's a moment.]

/Sounds like you cross paths with interesting types./

Yeah, at various times we've been allies, enemies, drinking buddies. My social network is rather hit and miss.

[He shrugs. A good part of that was the job, and some of it was his fault]

[There's something Ginia can relate to. Surviving as a hunter came down to personal skills and having a good network and set of connections. Ginia had a good network of allies and contacts, a few set of good friends, and people she'd share a drink and maybe a bed with. Enemies she tended to avoid, though differences could always be set aside for joint operations.

Ginia feels a small tug of nostalgia as she begins collecting the pool balls. Having Evan here was a nice reminder of her group back home, but there was also no going back home.

With the last ball sunk, Ginia shakes off her thoughts by setting up an easy starting trick. Six balls forming a straight line across, two balls on the other side.]
