What: It's a birthday party for Masaomi disguised as a beach party for everybody! And you're invited!
When: June 19th.
Where: The ocean shore!
Summary: So Gold came up with this idea where he wanted to throw Masaomi a birthday party, because that's a thing he tends to do. But he wants it to be more than just a party, so he invited in the village to the birthday party under the pretense that it's also a beach party!
Rating: PG-13 at best. If it get beyond that, take it off the comm!

[Oh. Cilan's actually kind of surprised, seeing as how, much like Cilan, Ash isn't the hugging type. At least, not with anyone other than his own Pokemon, that is.

You'd think Cilan would be better at that, considering how he tends to not give a care for Ash's personal space anyway sometimes, but honestly, Cilan's track record when it comes to hugging isn't very good. He doesn't hug or get hugged very often, and when he does...well. Luceti has a funny way of making whoever hugs him suddenly disappear from this place within three to five business days for some reason.

But, even so, Cilan can't help but smile.]

Thank you, Ash. That's very sweet of you to do so. [...And, after a slight second of hesitation, Cilan will lift his own arms to try to return the favor, giving Ash a hug as well. It's only fair, right?]

[ It's okay. Luceti isn't planning on having Ash suddenly disappear three to five business days from now. Whether that's a good thing or not weelll let's not think about it.

Ash's tension subsides a bit when Cilan returns the favor. This is still really different and not something that he's used to, but it wasn't rejected. Even though this was Cilan who does enjoy invading his personal space from time to time it was still something to worry about.

So he'll go back to giving Cilan a full hug in return. Hey, need to make this equal and if you're going to hug then he needs to hug a bit longer. ]

You're welcome Cilan. ... And Thanks.

[Yeah let's...not think about that too hard, and just be happy that we do have you here during a moment of peace, with no fighting or madness going on.

Still, it's kind of a shame that they're so out of practice when it comes to hugging. Maybe Cilan will actually try to fix that at some point, because hugs are actually pretty nice.]

You're welcome, Ash. [He assumes you're thanking him for the hug he gave you before a while ago, since that was what apparently planted the idea to hug again now. If there's another reason you're thanking him...well, either way, he's just happy to do his best to be a good friend for Ash in any way possible.]

[ It will probably do them both some good to get that at least a little fixed at some point.

The thanks was for a little more than the hug, but it doesn't matter either way; he's just glad that Cilan is here. After a moment he'll pull away from the hug and give his friend a smile. ]

I think all this has made me hungry! [ As if he wasn't hungry before ] So what do you think I should eat first?

[Oh right, the food.]

Well, you were asking about the sandwiches from before, right? Those would be good to try--I also recommend the burgers as well, as Gold seemed to highly approve of their taste...ah, and don't forget to try the cake when you get the chance to!

[It's a birthday cake, since this is actually Masaomi's birthday party, but...lol what are birthdays in the Pokemon world, as far as Ash is concerned, it's just a delicious cake.]

Actually, I was only askin' ya about the sandwiches t' get you to talk a little. But you bet that I'll still be eating 'em! Did you make the burgers too? I know y' make the cake and I'll be sure to have a bunch of it!

[ Though don't worry he'll be sure to leave some for others too! ]

As a matter of fact, I did. I hope you enjoy them--a few of them are from a recipe I've been working on for a while now, based on a type of burgers that they have in the Johto region.

[Gold was the one to task him with learning that recipe during our stay here, and so far it seems to be working out okay, though Cilan does his best to try to improve it little by little nonetheless. ^^;;]

Mmmm, this is really good! One of the best burgers I've ever tasted!

Really? [In that case--] Well, if you ever want me to make more of them sometime, just let me know! And I'll even try to improve on the flavor a little so that they'll have an even better taste next time, too!
